Unknown Master Writs

I have opened 3 Unknown Master Writs in each category today and the master writs are not showing up in my inventory anywhere. The number is reducing for the stack, but there aren't any Master Writs showing up.

I even logged out/logged back in and they are not there. Totally ate up 21 Unknown Master Writs. Can't get the Zenithar boxes for Master Writs because of this. What's the deal?

Are you sure they aren't at the top of the inventory? Or maybe an add-on is hiding them? Maybe an add-on placed them in a different category?

Opened a few every day so far, and haven't had issues.

Exact same issue on XB-NA literally just now. I'd received an Unknown Master Writ which I transferred to my main character.

My main character then proceeded to open three Wet Gunny Sacks and the Unknown Master Writ. Each time there was a dull "thump" sound effect, but nothing popped up as a new item in the lower left of the screen. I went through my inventory multiple times item by item, as well as tried using the search function, and there was no new Master Writ and nothing that would have come from a Gunny Sack either.

I've been robbed!!

Edit to add that I am not using any add-ons.

Very sure of it. This just started today. There is another person commenting on Xbox NA about this happening to them, and not just Master Writs, they had it happen with Wet Gunny Sacks.

As an update, a full quit-restart did not resolve the issue - I've lost that writ for good.

Sorry for the confusion, you did not post a platform and you posted this in the PC technical support. So I assumed this was about the PC platform.

This is on PC, but I also see people talking about XBox. It was fine for a couple days, then it wasn't.

I was able to open unknown master writs of various types today on PCEU without any problem, so if there's a glitch happening then it doesn't seem to be universal.

Note that I only ever get master writs on my main character, and never transfer them to my alts-- although I do put them in my bank and storage containers.

I split a few stacks of unknown master writs that were in my bank, to "peel off" single unknown writs of three different types, then retrieved those on my main character, opened them, and was able to see the master writs in my inventory, accept them, and complete them.

I'm wondering if transferring them from one character to another before opening them was the culprit? That would definitely be a bug if it's what happened.

Personally I transfer all my unknown master writs to my main crafter through the bank, and only then open them. Haven't had any issues with master writs not being created. (PC EU)

Could just have been a side effect of a slightly glitchy connection. I haven't had any further problems myself.
