Returning Player Question and some Advice

Hey All
Returning player here, been away at least 18 to 24 months ( can't even remember exactly how long ). As the game has changed so much I am finding it difficult to start over with the several Toons I have. They are level 50 CP 1035 or so and not even sure what I was doing with them at the time. I remember having at least 1 master crafter and several combat toons. I have been thinking about re-rolling a new toon to get back into things and learn everything that has changed. I want to keep my master crafter but can not remember how to check that so I don't delete the wrong one. I want to re-experience the story then progress into the newer content. Should I delete several of the lower level toons and start again or just try and slog it out with what I have.

Thanks in advance for any tips, thoughts or comments

Cheers ... Old Racer

ZOS has added a tutorial that re-teaches you basic combat when you log in again and sends you to do some things. I would keep your characters and use the free armory in the crown store to reset them to blank. There is also now subclassing where you can switch out up to 2 of your skill lines for other classes. This can be found in the crown store as well (it's free also, in the quests section).

If you have a free character slot, imo it's definitely worth rolling a brand new one and starting over, as a way to reacquaint yourself with the game. Or yeah if there's a low level character that you started but didn't do much with, it might be worth deleting and starting over.

Plus a new character will have access to all of the quests and the main story again, which you could be locked out of on your other characters if they'd done the quests already.

I would hang onto the more established characters - certainly the one who's a crafter (it's a slog to level all of that stuff up again), and perhaps others who have already leveled up skill lines that can be annoying to level, like mage's guild, psijic, antiquities, etc if applicable.

As Soarora mentioned, you can always use the armory system to reset a character's skills / cp / attributes without actually deleting the character (and depending on how long you've been gone, you may find some of these things have been reset for you already - I know CP was reset for everyone at one point).
