Please allow us to turn off golden pursuits status

I enjoy an uncluttered UI when not in PVE or PVP combat.
It would be nice if the golden pursuits status was tied to the display of quests.
Or just make it go away after it is complete.

You can unpin the tasks in the Golden Pursuit menu.

True, but you have to do it separately on each character you play while the event is running. And I'd rather not have to unpin it at all - I'd prefer the default state to be unpinned, as I can always visit the GP dialog and select the one I want should I want to.

It being on by default is because it's something that is only available at random times and it does not get announced in-game. Not everyone is on the outside websites and even those of us that are, sometimes miss these announcements when there's always so much going on. I'd rather have to be annoyed by having to unpin than annoyed that I missed out entirely. I think it should stay on by default. Unpinning isn't difficult

It's a shame in launched with a bug that didn't allow you to remove it but that's no longer the case. Go to the first task and select unpin and it goes away.

But you can see whether a Golden Pursuit is active when you check endeavors - the big GOLDEN PURSUITS text changes to gold if active, stays grayish if not. So they don't need to force pin anything. I would really like an option to permanently unpin Golden Pursuits across characters.

I agree. Unpinning it doesn't really help unless you're avoiding the included activities because if you happen to complete any of the tasks for the golden pursuit it will then "helpfully" pin a new one for you.

I like having the option to pin them (and I'd like to be able to do the same with endeavours) but I'd like it to be off by default.

Maybe they could make it a setting so people who won't notice the gold icon and the login notifications can have them added into the quest log, but people who don't want or need it there can disable it.

There is an addon for it, but it would be nice if this could be a base game function, since it's the kind of thing they always used to allow us to choose (like turning the quest log on or off). https://www.esoui.com/downloads/info4033-NoAutoPinnedGoldenPursuits.html
