Locked: No Competitive TOT Season Active

Hi all, writing this on behalf of two friends who are both having this issue. They have played TOT before and both ranked competition but now when they try to go to ranked it won't let them. It is greyed out and says "Locked, no Tales of Tribute competitive season active". This is not the case for me. We have tried the Google Foo and looking on here to no avail. Any ideas or recommendations? Thanks in advance!!

Just in case anyone else comes across this (I did while searching for a fix): there might be a PS issue when your PS goes to sleep mode. Try closing app completely and restarting app, worked for me!0
