I was simply raising an important issue that affects the interests of many players. The forum is a place where the community can and should give its feedback.

One thing I noticed in these forum posts about gifting is the consistent theme that ZOS uses some checklist to determine whether an account can be granted gifting. While I have no insider knowledge of ZOS, I have worked with large corporate fraud prevention and detection systems and I can tell you that it is very unlikely that is how they make these decisions.

My assumption is that they have several models developed to evaluate the overall risk associated with a specific account. With models, your activity is not just a single discrete variable, it is may reviewed in context with other variables (age, location, etc) and over a period of time. They may have models that evaluate what types of game play you engage with and how that compares with similar populations (CP level, class, overall observed playstyle), or how you interact with other players (guild, chat, friends) compared to other similar populations.

Just think about your car insurance (US - not sure how it works elsewhere). Your rates (a reflection of risk) can vary quite a bit from someone elses even when it seems like, on the surface, you would be very similar.

On the surface, looking at discrete data can be misleading, and while it truly sucks that false positives exist (in detection) and innocent people can have high risk scores (in prevention) it is an unfortunate part of the process. A process that exists because people using digital games for money laundering and scamming is absolutely a thing.

If you are denied and believe that the decision is incorrect, work with support. From my perspective, aggressively blasting the forums with your innocence only raises my suspicion.

They want people playing a few hours a day everyday for atleast a year, and probably also have to get X amount of achieves, levels, etc, spent X amount on crowns, and have gotten eso+ a certain amount of time. They'll never tell, but it's just a guess based on ppl I know who can gift. They are doing it to reduce scams and the amount of tickets they have to go through cause of it, and probably get alot less tickets of ppl wanting to trade crowns. This way they can focus more on other tickets. If people that can trade crowns would put in if they get eso+,how often buy crowns, and play, etc,it would give us a better idea on it.

The only way they can make sure crown gifting doesn't cause scams anymore,is change the way it works.A simple COD system, like in mail, and the typing of like "I accept this crown gift" in a box, like when destroying certain items. That way there's a safeguard incase someone accidently presses accept.

    Thank you for your comment.
I don't intend such goals, just wanted to highlight an important issue.
