ZOS You've Done it Again

In anticipation of Vengeance PvP 2: Electric Boogaloo, I updated, logged in and was excited to get a couple of characters ready for Cyrodiil with Subclassing only to find that once again, a good idea has been immediately turned into a chore.
"Hey Gang, are you ready to experiment by mixing and matching all those class skill lines you've leveled over the years and make something unique? Great! Just re-level all those skill lines again on every character and let the fun begin a week or so later!"
Looks like my return to the game begins and ends with one week of Vengeance PvP, because it's clear that absolutely nothing has changed with the game overall.

Each subclass line only needs to be leveled once per account. I already finished 4 lines by killing nBR mobs and quests for one DLC zone. Also you could boost it by having all alts doing dailies on the same 2 lines.

Well that's good to know, but still an absolutely pointless and annoying chore that adds nothing but a delay to experimenting with subclassing.

Also Subclassing has nothing to do with the Vengeance Test because Vengeance will be limited skills and no subclassing. Granted a bit more skills than last time but still extremely limited. So leveling Subclass lines for Vengeance test is useless.

Yep I was annoyed as well. Wish they have the crown store option like skyshards.

Until then, I think it's best to level all lines regardless they're used or not. Can't run tests without swapping a line with at least level 42 for all active abilities.

No subclassing in Vengeance? That's great, no need to do it, thanks.
Any chance you've got a link to where that's specified? I'm so happy I'm not doing it.

"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

I read the entire thread, and it's quite funny how none of the initial complaints turned out to be valid in the end. :D

It's still valid for anyone who plans on playing the game after Vengeance. ZOS has to turn every fun idea into a chore. Only now it's a chore that no longer effects me.

I thought the same when subclassing was first announced, and once again when I logged in on the PTS and the 'unlocks' for having the skill lines levelled started popping, then the game went 'haha, fool!'.

To this day I don't understand the rationale behind getting those 'unlocks' but then having to level the skill lines regardless.

It was less painful than it could have been for me because there was a bit of 2XP left after release and I had a pile of master writs, so I managed to level all the skill lines on all my accounts however I just don't get the point.

Mind you said that I consider myself lucky that they didn't pull a 'companions' here and make it 'experience from kills only'.
