The maintenance was planned ahead by ZOS.

If the game goes down unexpectedly for nearly a full day at least, then I'd understand the need for compensation.

Due to critical infrastructure issues, replacing the operational hamster will take a full business day. No compensation will be disbursed.

I think there will be a large number of players who will be unable to get the daily rewards or daily endeavors that day. Though not essential, some sort of way to not lose out there would be appreciated. For example, if you don't claim that day's log in reward, add it to the next day you do log in. For the endeavors, possibly offer a double number of seals on a day in the near future.

Well, maintenance normally occurs during Australian primetime and there have been issues in the past where they've had emergency maintenance spreading to 3 nights in a week.
Giving a few days of ESO+ to make up for the days that have been lost would be fair.

Sure, talk to zos. I was answering the OP's question about compensation based on past history and I do not issue compensation to players. Whether it's "fair" isn't really relevant to "me", but as far as I know they've never given out eso plus extensions due to maintenance or server downtime, at least not in many years, so that would have to be taken up with them.

Just gives me a lot of time to look for a new game.

But it isn't a con. People who do not sub are also missing a day. ESO+ has no impact on our ability to access the game. If there were any compensation it would need to be made to all players. We all miss a day. That said I don't expect any compensation nor do I feel we are owed any.

And *nowhere did I say I or ANYONE DOES* I said: It is a paid sub - so it's a valid question to ask for someone who may not know any better.

Also yes, most normal, job-having people in the EU (and yes, in 2014 we were told there was a EU server but going NA was strongly recommended by ZOS) are likely to miss a day's rewards.

5am - 11pm is the UK downtime, on a work day - and later for the rest of Europe.

I personally don't mind - but they (ZOS) should make sure those ppl get the monthly reward if this makes them miss it.

Finally - not at you specifically - but a general comment: I am always like O.o when people get shirty or even militant about anyone asking a politely worded question about a service they pay for. What is that?! Scary, man.
