Modify the Character Selection screen

Subclassing has completely changed all of the characters, they are no longer just an archanist, they are now an archanist-templar-warden, etc. This change has made the information displayed on the character selection screen incorrect (or at least incomplete). I would urge @ZOS to modify this screen to display proper information. An alternative would be for someone, more skilled than I, to write an addon that shows the character's skill lines and the level of each skill line, whenever a character is hovered over.

There is a need to know more about each character before logging in.
I ALWAYS believe I know the answer. Turns out I rarely understand the question.

Player since BETA (February 2014) and have the monkey to prove it. Level 50 in all classes and have mastered all normal skill lines. Still working on mastering all subclassed skill lines.

The player is the only one that sees that, and they know what they have done to their characters.

Also, players have always used different skill lines on their characters, i.e. class skills, weapon skills, guild skills, undaunted skills, PvP skills etc. and that has never been displayed on the character selection screen.

As mentioned above we already have loads of different information that is not displayed on our character select screens.

I don't see any good reason for valuable development time to be spent on adding this, ofc if someone wrote an addon then fair enough.

However even with my aging brain I have no problem remembering which character has/does what, so I would have no need for or be interested in such an addon.

I remember my guy and gals across three accounts, not just one, too! :)
    When people say to me........
"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

Add-ons can't change what you see in the Character Selection screen.

I agree that we have lots of information available, once a character is loaded. The reason that I would like to see a hover display on the character screen is because with subclassing, I change things as I experiment, and don't always remember the setup. The character selection screen has always provided all the information needed, class, level, etc., but the hybrid classes are no longer the same and the information is outdated. I change builds for completeness, some people will want to level every skill line to 50, as a subclass. Doing that requires rebuilds, lots of rebuilds, too many to keep mental track of. Specifically, it requires 11 different builds to advance every subclassed skill line to 50. It would be so much nicer to hover over the character and see the current mix of skill lines and the current level of each line. Change is good, embrace it.

The only change that I want added to the character-selection screen is the ability to change the background environment image to other options that ESO has had in the past. (e.g. default, chapter-specific, etc.) And, even better, would be the ability to have environment backgrouns attached to each character when selected/highlighted. So, when you select a character, you can see different background that you chose for that character. (Before pressing play.)
    Dark Elf character? Morrowind background.
    High Elf character? Summerset background.
    Khajiit character? Elsewyr background.
    Argonian character? Blackwood background.
    And so on.
(The backgrounds don't have to be specific to the races, but those examples provide possibilities of available options.)

Nameplates for the current pet and mount would be nice.

This is why I use spreadsheets, I keep detailed info on my characters outside the game as a reference and a planning aid.

My memory has never been good and I like looking at the spreadsheets and figuring out what to do next.
