Runeblades?

What is the use case for runeblades on arcanist? I feel like I never see them used on any build or in any group...do people even use the skill? Maybe it would be worthwhile to rework them?

Isn't Runeblades supposed to build crux? Except my understanding is that the Flail offers more (+5% damage against those hit), so people usually choose that over runeblades. Not an arcanist, though, so I may be wrong.

I agree Runeblades should be reworked, I would LOVE to see ZOS make it a worthwhile alternative spammable, for those of us who dislike the beam. I myself find Runeblades a lot of fun to use.

Yes, flail is used so runeblades dont really offer much...making them a true alternative and more interesting would be nice...for example a single target morph that does additional stuff like minor breach, sundered, dot, and a multi target one that maybe workls like reflective light and maybe builds 2 crux at once etc...

I use runeblades because I run a magicka arcanist (I hate stamina build, I mean the stamina bar color legitimately annoys me, much less the name "stamina" which sound insanely generic).

The big issue is that runeblades takes so much longer to build crux even though the flail tooltip and the runeblade tooltip suggests that flail should be slower. The second issue is that flail is stamina and I burn through stamina too fast when using flail in fast paced dungeons (which is seemingly most of them these days).

I'd love to see runeblades given some attention. Feels sucky when I use the skill because it works better on magicka builds, but knowing full well I am gimping myself.
