4 things that would really make this game a lot better

Ok, I know every one thinks their ideas are the ones that should be implemented, but ima' say them any ways. And yes, i know there are things to fix. Also, we dont need to hear about how subclassing isn't perfect therefore nothing else can be improved either lol.

1.) I know this has been asked for a million times, but can we get a freakin 1h skill line already lol? Or at least let us use the skills that dont use your shield in the 1h line. Play your way, but not if you want to just use a 1h weapon without a shield or dual wielding
2.) There needs to be more options for people who dont want to use magick spells at all. And changing them to stamina isnt a good compromise because most of the time it's still a spell. Lot of worthless skills in the weapon skill lines. Makes it not fun to go full weapon. Wouldn't be hard to have alchemy engineering versions of spells. IE: bombs that can be made that do what spells do, like fire or shock, for example.
3.) I know the purists love to lie that it's strategic to have such a limited skill bar, and im not asking for more slots just for more slots. So separating spells and weapons skills in to different bars would be better IMO. Same people who used to laugh at the class hybrid idea. So... yeah.

I agree with everything except the old flurry animation. I much prefer the current one since it means I don't have to wield daggers to use it.

(Seriously, you ever try stabbing with two axes? Two maces? Even some of the more heavily curved swords is kind of a stretch.)

That said I wouldn't be opposed if it was a skill style option. That would be great, just let people pick what they want.

Fully agreed on this point. It's a pet peeve on mine in RPGs - both vidya and tabletop - where the devs are so unwilling/unimaginative/incompetent that they can't come up with a way to make one-handed fighting work, but will go through Hell and high streams for other things. I get this isn't exactly the most RP heavy game, where things like considering if you have a free-hand affects your moment-to-moment decisions, but surely there's someone in ZOS' office who can appreciate the nuances of a good one-handed fighter and the finesse that comes with it?

Maybe it's a budget thing. There's not much of an excuse for it in a paper game, but in a video game where there's (apparently) little room to maneuver, I can believe that the design, coding and animations team don't want to allocate time and money to that rather than new and exciting things.
2.) There needs to be more options for people who dont want to use magick spells at all. And changing them to stamina isnt a good compromise because most of the time it's still a spell. I like this, but I think we're in the vast minority of people who prefer mundane rather than magical martial abilities. I wouldn't say no to things like Alchemy being having its own offense and support line though, even if it is effectively just a re-flavoured spell.
3.) I know the purists love to lie that it's strategic to have such a limited skill bar, and im not asking for more slots just for more slots. So separating spells and weapons skills in to different bars would be better IMO. Same people who used to laugh at the class hybrid idea. So... yeah.

I think this is one of the fundamentals that isn't going to change. I'm not even sure how additional slots and bars would work for the console players, but I'd be willing to see if it could. Whether it's an improvement or not I can't say, all I know is that unless there's significant overhauls to the game (that would make subclassing look like a hotfix, if you can believe that), this probably isn't going to change.

Finally, I'm with @mistformsquirrel on the point about the old Flurry animation. It was embarrassing using axes when doing that.
