63gb Update for consoles

I just saw that - why is it so big? I don't remember other updates being that big.

I assume if updating works similar to Pc, then yes, it’s mostly rewriting/replacing/changing files

On pc they can modify the lare the large data files if just minnor changes like fixing an texture bug.
On console I think they has to replace the entire file as they can not use an patcher program.

Xbox One, and Xbox Series X are two different pieces of hardware. The Series X version of the game has higher fidelity textures, meaning bigger file sizes.

I'm on Series X and also only had a 63gb update, instead of the supposed 111gb one.

Mine was 63 on XBX.

I thought it was strange. The PS5 files have always been much smaller than PS4, but it was the other way around this time. I haven’t had to wait more than about 5 minutes for a download before, but today it was 35 minutes.

That was my first thought, but surely it doesn’t require that much code. Also, the percentage complete for the download on the PS5 showed a much lower number than the length of the download bar would indicate. It was very strange, the first time I have seen that too.
