Scribing... in my opinion it's a failure.

I use Scribing and find it very useful. That is apart from that for the bow skill. The silly animation makes it useless IMO and it becomes, at best, situational. Therefore for me it is unusable, I don't know how someone thought that this was a good idea.

I got gold road for scribing. Big mistake. I lived thru the extremely annoying bugged last quest in chain and it so soured me on scribing, I have never used it.

And I have no plans to ever do so as I see no benefit.

I mean, I'm speaking only for myself and I'm definitely not a performance player - I'm just here to do stories and play fun characters, but... I've loved scribing since I started using it.

For me it lets me make customized skills that fit the needs and visuals of a given character. There may be other skills that are strictly better... but with the right combo of scribed and subclassed skills I can really do some fun things to make my character feel like my own. YMMV of course but it works for what I want it for.
