Can no longer change Add-On status: Can't activate or deactivate Add-Ons from list in setup

On North American (NA) PC server.
All Add-Ons are up to date as of 6/14/2025.
Press [ESC] Key and select Add-Ons: List of Add-Ons displays as normal with tic-boxes showing which Add-Ons are active (checked) or inactive (unchecked). I typically have only 3 or 4 Add-Ons active at most times, then activate Add-Ons temporarily as needed. But now, (for the first time in forever) I cannot change which Add-Ons are active or inactive.
-- I try to deactivate Add-On by unchecking tic-box and reloading UI, but Add-On remains active.

Tried Quitting ESO, restarting computer, and restarting ESO via the Launcher. Still no joy: Can’t change Add-On status. Never had this problem (ever) in the past.

Thanks for mentioning this option. It's been years since I used the Add-On from the character-select menu. Good to be reminded of this option. Still can't change Add-Ons on characters individually with character in-play.0 -
HumbleThaumaturge✭✭✭✭Update: Still unable to change Add-Ons as of 6/16/2025 on both NA PC and EU PC.
I logged on to my ESO account from an old computer (running Windows 10) and was able to select and deselect Add-Ons as normal. But on my main gaming computer (Windows 11), I've lost that ability. Weird.
I tried the "Repair" option on Launcher. Still no joy. Do I need to "uninstall" and reinstall ESO?
Update: I went ahead and uninstalled then reinstalled ESO (over 100 GB!). No joy: still can't change Add-Ons.Edited by HumbleThaumaturge on June 16, 2025 1:31PM0 -

✭On the Windows 11 PC go to the location of where the addons are stored and see if they are READ ONLY. Sounds like that is what is happening. Documents/Elder Scrolls Online/live/addons
In the live folder area there are some text files. One of them is for the add ons. Check that to see if it is READ ONLY. It is named "AddOnSettings.txt". Not sure if this will help but it's all I can think of. Good Luck!2 -

That was a great idea.
Verified "Read Only" not checked. Made entire folder not "Read Only." Still unable to change Add-Ons.

✭Question. Directly under the main heading in the ESC> ADDONS menu in game, right above the liat of your addons is a title saying "Add-ons ON". If you click the word ON, it should change to OFF. Did you ever try that?@Djennku, PCNA.
