Skill Styles Are Not Styles—They're Just Color Swaps

Monetized skill styles need to offer more than basic visual tweaks... they should bring meaningful, in-depth changes that feel worth the cost. Simple recolors shouldn’t be locked behind paywalls; players should be able to customize colors themselves through a color wheel or unlockable palettes tied to achievements and content completion. Let players earn their style while keeping the Crown Store focused on premium-quality designs and animations.

Some of the skill styles are styles, but those are usually confined to the crown store like the aquatic war horn….which was cool IMO.

The monetized ones do usually offer more than just skill color swaps. In fact, most of the simple color swap ones are the free styles offered through achievements (or the free class skill styles), while most of the paid ones in the Crown Store add extra visual effects (making the Matriarch transparent, adding flowers to Mage Light, adding a water effect to War Horn, etc).

Wall of Elements, Autumn Leaves is a bonafide skill style. And it's really nice too. It's a godsend for Lightning staves.
