I was wondering since the sections for Upgrades and Mounts in the Collections tab have seen minor overhauls.
Wouldn't it be great to finally get a much needed overhaul for the Appearance section?
Head Markings and Facial Hair are in dire need of a rework for all us role-players & fashionistas.
- Face Painting, Make Up, Custom Eyes, Beards, Bones/Antlers and more.
They all require their own section to be utilised separately.
The same applies to Body Markings and Skins.
- Body Painting, Body Scarring, and possibly a section for miscellaneous Body Effects, e.g. [Lambent Guar Body Markings] and [The Black Drake's Body Warpaint] which affect nails and claws (a personal favourite feature of mine).
Skins come with their own minor & major problems:
- [Ardor's Devotion], [Harvestleaf Lacquer], [Blackmarrow Necromancer] and more, which shouldn't be Skins in the first place.
- [Bright-Throat Scale], [Brineglow], [Scourger's Scales] and more, which are semi-transparent to underlying Body Markings.
- ^Similarly some Head Markings with Custom Eyes override Skins, which is nice, but others do not.
Which brings me to one of my biggest gripes in the customisation game.
Body Markings are not layered over Skins, which they should be.
There are examples in the game of this being the case though, e.g. with the NPCs of the Bright-Throat and Dead-Water tribes, their Body Markings appear over their Skins.
So with this being the case, why can't we have the same customisation available to us?
The same applies to Players with Vampirism, which appears to be a Skin with varying degrees of transparency. Body Markings are washed out to the point where they are no longer recognisable.
Similarly but not necessarily the same, NPC Orsimer sometimes appear to have a vibrant green skin tone, which is another thing Players are unable to achieve in the character creation.
The amount of minor to major issues with the Appearance tab are really infuriating, and I can't be the only one who feels this way.
