It's time to allow full companion customization

I love being able to change their outfits and mounts. But how 'bout hairdos, makeup and ornaments? Isobel looks like a granny with that horrid do. We need to glam up our companions. How about it Zenimax?

I've never seen a granny with hair like that...I assume I'm a granny now too because that's one of my favourite hairstyles.[Lie] Of course! I don't even worship Daedra!1 -

✭✭I wish the companions to keep at least a part of their identity. We can already give them silly costumes.
What it's needed though, is to have a helmet toggle, and ofc to be able to make them use head pieces.

cmetzger93✭✭✭✭✭They should at least let us put helmets on them, it's so weird seeing a hundred Zerith-Vars running around. They don't even randomize the appearance like they do for other player quest NPCs.

✭I'd love to be able to do so much more with companions! But, as is, their functionality is pretty surface level IMO:
- Customizing facial hair, skins, hair, etc just like a player character would be dope in individualizing them per player! Yes, they have their own stories, but we could make it our own a bit more that way.
- I think we should do away with companion gear entirely and that ZOS should hand pick player sets that make sense and function within the companion world. Maybe give them stat bonus lines of more max stats and that's it, but give them the 5 piece bonuses from sets. That would be super cool and allow for more fun interaction just like how you could give companions in the single player titles whatever you wanted! If we cannot do this, adding in some sort of functionality to research/upgrade/transmute companion gear would be cool.
- I like the idea of their mementos, but would even like to form some sort of functionality for companions when we aren't using them. Like as an example, I never use the first 2 companions, so having them do something while in "storage" would be cool!
