Battlegrounds Need Armory Station

SundarahFr3akinrican
As the title says. If you unfortunately queue for a game where your team doesnt have a healer, and the other team does, you know the next 15 min are a waist of time.

It would be nice to be able to switch your build in these situations.

I know they stated the reason they didnt want to allow Armory Assistants in BGs is because they didnt want to give players a monetary advantage. Well, if they just add an Amory Station at spawn base game to BGs, it would even the playing field. And Armories wouldn't lose their functions outside of BGs either, so I wouldnt expect their sales to go down much.

You'd have to fix the stuck in combat bug first. This happens even between rounds in dm. Then again, the fix there is to get rid of rounds.

You'd also have to make spawn safe... you know, like they used to be before zos destroyed bgs.

I posted about the need to allow equipment changes six months ago............. crickets.

I guess the bigger issue here is, they need to find a way to balance matches when your team doesn't have a healer. And the armory station is a suggestion to that issue

The healer is not the problem. Its simply the MMR, that doesn't exist.
If you are queued with a team full of 18k hp players, then even 3 healers won't do much.

This. Especially now with subclassing, there really needs to be a pop up warning that states "hey, it's advisable to have at least 30k HP in PvP for most builds. Consider slotting more HP glyphs, different food, Healthy Jewelry, or putting more stat points into health".

Even when myself or others try to politely nudge players to slot more health, a lot of them clap back rudely then proceed to go 0-11.

I think people should be able to play how they want. If you die a lot with a good healer, then that's a skill issue. I often play with 25-27k hp and do fine, especially if I have a healer.

This becomes even more apparent in 4v4s. The team with the healer usually comes out on top. And if they do, it's stomp level. Healers have a very very big impact on BGs. I refuse to downplay it.

Right. And then when some bomber comes in, sneezes on your 25K build, and wipes 4-7 out of the 8 people on your team three times in a row, “play how you want” stops sounding so good.

If that example sounded super specific, it’s because I literally did it two nights ago. Hopped on my NB bomber, buried some poor scrub with around 24K HP and took most of his team with him every time to end the match with 19 kills without trying hard.

Granted, that’s an outlier. You don’t always get people who cluster up like quails waiting for the slaughter more than once. But even one gold bomb can turn the tide of an entire match, all because people think it’s fun to enter a BG with 17K HP.

Yeah that's why it's a good idea to run Nibenay if that is something that really bothers you. I play a bow build so I'm not usually stacked with the group, and if I identify an enemy bomber, then I def know not to stack. Again skill issue.

There has to be some counter play to ball groups, so I don't mind bomber builds. You just have to know how to play around them. And yeah it sucks when you have a squishy on your team that starts the chain reaction.

There's a big difference between "play how you want" and being an actual danger to your team.

Notice I said advisable to have 30k HP. For the vast majority of players, they are not going to be able to survive, especially this patch, with less health than that.

Yes, there are kitey builds that can manage in the realm of 25k HP, but those players are not the ones that need a heads up to slot more health.

In my example, I literally had a player scream at me in chat for politely suggesting that they should slot more health, and they proceeded to go 0-12, blowing up the rest of the team with Vicious Death in the process.

Yeah I don't disagree with you. I just think the wording should be different. Something like "If you find yourself dying a lot, try building more tanky, then slowly transition to more damage as you get more comfortable".

That can def be worded better but yeah something like that
