So if you have "Breton Chair, Padded" and "Breton Chair, Slatted," those would not stack since they are different things. It doesn't matter that they're both chairs, or even both Breton chairs. They need to be exactly the same.
If they are the same, like 57 "Breton Chair, Padded," then they will stack.
It wouldn't be possible for furnishings with different item IDs to stack. If they did and you wanted to pull out a "Breton Chair, Padded" from a stack just called "Chairs" how would that even work? Either you'd have to withdraw everything in the stack all at once (hope you've got room for all of the different types in your inventory!) or there would have to be a brand new system to have an interface to browse everything in the stack as if the stack itself was a bank. Neither of those are good options (the former because it makes it basically unusable, and the latter because of the technical complexity and how much testing would need to go into it).Ravensilver wrote: »Ah... that explains it.
I understood it to be a category thing. All chairs (no matter what they are) get stacked together...
