Wow, very interesting results. 4/5 of all players treating this as a mostly solo game is wild although not that surprising given that the gaming demographic has aged and many players no longer have time for scheduled group play. MMOs were on a steady decline for years and with the rise of major solo hits like Hogwarts Legacy, BG3 and Elden Ring it’s no surprise more and more people are gravitating to the solo playstyle. I wish more MMOs catered to this group to the extend ESO does. WoW has been making inroads with that in its latest expansion too so it’s looking like a real sea change.
