I've always loved the concept of the Nightblade summoning a shadow, but I've NEVER used that skill for a... relatively simple reason?
It’s kind of... not my shadow? I mean, the description clearly says: "Summon a shadowy version of yourself," but instead, I summon a Bosmer?
Is it really that hard to replicate the player character with a red filter? I honestly don’t get it .-.

✭I find it hard to believe it's that difficult to do and can think of two MMOs off the top of my head that are older than ESO with skills that make close to exact copies of your character appearance (WoW and ESO).

- Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
- Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

Honestly, even though the base skill style should use the same character model and gear motif, I would pay for future skill styles of the ability where the character model and gear motif are used (at the very least the same character model/hair/facial hair should be used)2 -

See I absolutely hate that, and they've already proven in game, during The Qrrery of Elden Root quest when you use Rajhin's Mantle, that the summoned shades can be made to use your character's face/race/height/body proportions, just look at my muscle Nord and his shade that is also a muscle Nord:
