once again - PSA about kill void creatures

If you go to the courtyard of the Library of Arkthzand to kill void creatures, DO NOT insta-kill the void creature that looks like a bone colossus. If you just light-tap it, it will spawn a pair of void creature adds, which you can kill. Then it will quickly spawn another pair of void creature adds, which you can kill. Then you can either kill the colossus or let it spawn a third pair if adds to complete the endeavor.

This is MUCH, MUCH QUICKER than repeatedly insta-killing the colossus and waiting for it to respawn, or running around looking for more void creatures.

I realize that a lot of players love to insta-kill everything [snip], but insta-killing everything as fast as possible is NOT ALWAYS the most efficient way to do things.

Also just joining in with the Voidmother WB in The Reach will get your endeavor done as she spawns loads. :)

Sadly, this is just like the Iron Atronach endeavor. There is a boss in the Forgotten Wastes in Vardenfall that will spawn unlimited Iron Atronachs as long as you don’t kill the boss. But the only time I can do that if there are no other players around because they all run up and kill that boss within seconds no matter what you say.

There's a lot of endeavours that could go faster if players were willing to share kills or simply slow down their attacks a bit.

There's a few spots where lots of atronach's spawn close together where, if everyone cooperated, each player could tag each one then move on to the next, they'd die from the collective damage and everyone would get the endeavour done in about a minute, but people would rather camp one spawn point and burn them down the second they appear like they think this game has kill stealing and if anyone else touches it they'll lose credit.

I've talked to a few people who actually do think ESO has kill stealing, either because they assume it's a universal MMO mechanic or because they've previously been in situations where other people burn down enemies so fast they can't get credit for killing them, but other people just seem terrified that if anyone ever sees them doing less than their top DPS they'll never get into a group again.

Which boss in the Forgotten Wastes spawns Iron Atronachs? I'm trying to think of where that might be and I can't be sure. Is it the boss in the cul-de-sac in the tunnels where the miners are working?

I could be remembering wrong, but I think it's the "group event" boss. Been a while since I've been in Forgotten Wastes.

That was the other one I was thinking it might be. I'll have to go check out both and see.

Correct, it’s this boss in the far back of the dungeon. It’s so funny, I’ll see people there trying to farm Iron Atronachs one at a time, thinking that the boss must only spawn one, they’ll quickly kill the boss sometimes too fast to even get any,and then run over to the side where another one spawns sometimes up the little stairs and then wait for that one to spawn, and then wait for the group boss to come back, and rinse and repeat. I try to tell everyone I see that if they just let this group boss live a while they can get all the Iron Atronachs they need but it always falls on deaf ears.

Another good, if slow, place to farm iron atros is the vents in High Isle (if you have access to that content). Each of the three small vents that start initially spawn at least one atro per vent after you kill the first little buggers that pop out of them. Sometimes, depending on the vent main boss, more will be summoned during that fight as well.

But yes, too many people push the nuke button on various others, instead of just getting a couple of light attacks in which is usually more than enough.
