Mods - Can we get clarity on updating to DLSS 4 and if it's allowed?

I know we have a bigger thread for DLSS 4, but we haven't had any actual clarity now.
Right now, the game uses a single outdated DLSS 2 file (nvngx_dlss.dll) that's using DLSS version 2.2.16.0
NVIDIA themselves allow DLSS override as long as the app is whitelisted, and there are other tools such as DLSS Swapper out there that do the same. In order to update to DLSS 3 or DLSS 4, it's as basic as literally swapping a verified/signed .dll from NVIDIA to the latest version.
If this is something you aren't going to update - can we safely do so without any risks to our account? It can be done in Final Fantasy 14, and other online games, without issues. But I feel like we need some clarity here, considering how much better the game looks even with DLSS 3.7 let alone DLSS 4. The current version is from 2021.

Riviawolf✭✭To clarify, I understand the TOS with modifying game files and all of that. But considering the simplicity for every other studio/game when it comes to updating this, alongside NVIDIA having an official way of overriding.. I don't think it's out of the realm for us to question our account safety and have some clarity on this. It's a digitally signed method from NVIDIA themselves.0

Riviawolf✭✭Just to add one more thing - there are substantial benefits to allowing users to updating (if you won't update it officially). Motion clarity with DLSS 2 is rather rough, and it can create it's own "natural" form of motion blur, do to how it handles upscaling. This is far FAR less of an issue with DLSS 4, or later versions of DLSS 3. Older versions simply give me a higher likelyhood of developing motion sickness, like any other poor implementation of TAA.0
