is the turning tide set broken?

i keep occasionally having the problem where i get the buff but than i cant use it for some reason? is this a known bug or maybe just the way the set works sometimes with some extra not listed conditions like bashing the one who hit you to trigger it in the first place or something?

Are you bashing the enemy directly in front of you or are you trying to bash something far away (such as with shield throw)? If you try to bash at range, it won't hit anything because the area comes from you. See here for a thread I made about that.

nah im trying to point blank bash but it just doesnt pop and the buff runs out before i get to apply major vulnerability

Yeah TT can sometimes be a bit wonky so I swapped it out for. 2 PC monster set from earthen root enclave as my source for major vulnerability.
