Storm Control not working

I just got the Kynareth's Icon of Storm Control, tested it on my main house many times, but it doesn't change anything, other than the color of the item. I waited a few minutes, to confirm that it's not some lag, but it really doesn't work. It should change the weather, right? Is it supposed to be working right now or will it work only after completing all pursuits?

Kynareth's icon of weather control only works in selected group of houses. If your main house never experiences rain on it's own, it's most likely not on the list. But you could check for it in the houses description if I'm not mistaken.

Which house is it?

It doesn't make any difference even if it says that the house supports weather control.

At least it's not working on my account.

I see! In that case, I would definetly submit a ticket. This is the free house we received earlier this year right? I unlocked the item myself, I'll go check if it's working for me or not.

Alright, I checked. It's not working in Swordsinger's Redoubt for me either. But it does work in Willowpond Haven on all 3 settings. - It's ticket time, mate.

Could it be that it heavily depends on the zone where the house in? As in, if the weather changes are pronounced in the zone, the difference is more noticeable in the house. Alik'r looks basically the same all the time to me.

I've put your theory to the test and went over to my "Twin Arches". Kynareth's Icon works there, so to speak, but instead of rain it causes a sandstorm. It's a surprise, but a pleasant one as I had opened a feedback thread with a request for snow and sandstorms earlier today. But it does not explain why the icon neither causes rain nor sandy storms in Swordsinger's Redoubt. I've send a ticket about it.

Edit: My bad, twin arches is in bangkorai at the border to Alik'r. Should have teleported via the map to be sure. The only other two houses in Alik'r are entirely indoors.

I can also confirm that it's not working in Swordsinger's Redoubt for me. It works in the Haven of the Five Companions & Kelesan'ruhn.

Naa... It's ok. If I report the problem, they will most likely update the information stating that this house does not support Weather Control. It would be fun if it worked, but if it doesn't, it's not that serious either, and I'm not even going to change my main house because I like this one.

For now it only seems to be "Swordsinger's Redoubt" that shows no reaction to weather control despite it's description.
The question is, was it supposed to cause rain or a sandstorm as your team picked for other houses in deserty areas?
(If it was supposed to show any reaction at all)

I don't own enough houses to check on all of them but perhaps other player's could tune in should they notice something.

I don't have many houses but so far Swordsinger's Redoubt is the only one where Kynareth's Icon of Storm Control does not work.

I only tested on "Sword-Singer's Redoubt" because it's the only house I really use.

Thanks all. We have done some investigations on our end and found that Sword-Singer's Redoubt is the only house impacted by the weather control not working as intended. The team is looking into this right now to find a fix. No eta on when that will happen just yet. If you come across any other homes with a potential issue with weather control, please feel free to ping so that we can escalate to the team as well. Thank you.

@ZOS_Kevin It doesn't work well in Moon Sugar Meadows as well. On stormy it gives a little bit of rain, but on overcast and clear there is no effect. (Moon Sugar Meadows has other problems as well, chests/armorer table randomly disappear and you need to log out/in to get them back.)

It does work in the Enchanted Snowglobe actually. The lighting does change, and you get the stormy sound effects. However, if you look up you can see the tent in Eastmarch still covers the snowglobe protecting it from the rain. Inside the snowglobe it's just always snowing because, well, it's a snowglobe. So rain just can't get in.

@ZOS_Kevin doesnt seem to work in the Arteum Grand Villa either - or at least it doesnt have a very visual effect. that was last night so ill try it again today and feedback if its any different

(That issue in parentheses happens all the time in multiple houses. It definitely isn’t specific to Moon Sugar. For me it’s an issue with one person in a group getting to the house before the other. Kevin, if this is an issue for the same housing team, might you be able to remind them it’s been bug reported numerous times over the past few years?)

Check the house list under Collections, all houses that can't utilize the furnishing are marked as Supports Weather Control: No, including the Grand Psijic Villa.

@ZOS_Kevin it dosen't work well in Altmiri Dominion Ship. You can only hear thunder but no rain. Nothing else works.

It's not working at Sweetwater Casscades, either, in Blackwood, even though the house says it's weather controlled. And this house does get storms and rain sometimes normally. Ticket time. @ZOS_Kevin It sounds like it's a common issue with hearing the thunder but not seeing anything.
