Waterwalking Spell - Little funny and silly idea LOL

I was thinking about something while playing Oblivion Remastered and… well: Water Walking!

We literally have access to Water Walking in Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim. And honestly, ESO is the game where this spell would make the most sense to exist, since we... don't swim underwater! I imagine making this spell exist somehow in ESO wouldn't be too hard, and it could be something really fun for exploration.

See that giant lake you have to walk around? Use Water Walking and sprint across it as fast as you can!

I think it would be really fun and would add a nice layer of roleplay to the game. I mean, it's already present in the rest of the franchise and it just makes sense for it to be available in ESO! haha Maybe through some future mythic item, or a unique enchantment effect, who knows!

Don't you guys think it would be cool if they added more content not focused on the metagame? Content focused on diversity, exploration, and interaction with the environment? Personally, I really liked when they released the thief's helm that lets you see NPCs through walls — from my perspective, a mythic item that lets you walk on water would serve a similar purpose — something I'd always keep in my inventory, ready to be used.

"But what about the slaughterfish???" Well, you could still be attacked from the feet. You could even make it so that "the spell ends if the player is attacked by slaughterfish" to avoid any issues LOL

The problem with such spell is that they would need to set invisible walls to keep us from attempting to cross open waters instead of murdering the players with slaughterfishes.

It would also remove the need for slaugtherfishes in Cyrodiil.

Elder Scrolls Online is really lacking with the water in general. Anyway yes, I would like this. I'd settle for them just fixing puddles dismounting you though.

I think ESO uses some water as invisible walls so that might present some challenges.

What I'd really like when it comes to water is for my mount to be able to swim! I would think that would be easy to do - simply creating the animations. If you get slaughterfished while mounted swimming, the horse throws you and it would work like it does now.

The slaughterfish will still eat your tootsies. Maybe a disturbing of the surface texture on the water to give a greater sense that "something's getting me".

Agree, in Cyrodil water both restrict access to Imperial city and is an border between AD and EP.
You could also avoid the slaughterfish barrier around houses with beach access.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

As I mentioned in the original post, these invisible walls are placed with the slaughterfish, and slaughterfish can still eat someone who’s on the water’s surface. You just need to add a limitation like “the spell/effect ends when the player is attacked by slaughterfish,” and that would make you fall into the water.

The water content (walking, breathing, swimming underwater) is so bare bones in eso unlike the main games and I am saddened by it
