Og craglorn trial, i dont remember which or where in it.. but i hear a odd sound from her behind me and turn to look. She may have already been gone at that point but we rushed her to a ER vet anyways, limp in my arms the entire trip. I barely managed to tell the VC for the raid "I need to go i think my cat is dying" and just straight up left my PC where is was after that.

i stopped playing ESO shortly before Imperial city due to burn out, having cleared all the og trials on their hardest difficulties. With nothing to do and only a PvP centric update i moved on to other games. I got Pip about a year after squeaker died. Happiest softest boy of a cat who quite frankly choose me during a infoster house visit. About mid fall last year, i started playing ESO again with so much content added in the 9 or so years.

today Pip is now at a ER vet, staying a few nights with a slim hope he is just suffering a infection, and not about to go into total renal failure... I dont know what im going to do if the worst happens.. I am in a vDSR hm Prog tomorrow....

QUICK UPDATE: Pip is back home with lots of vet visits coming to monitor his kidney health. More @ https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/comment/8306807/#Comment_8306807 below

I’m very sorry to hear about your cats. We have feline fur babies too, and some years ago when I was playing ESO a similar thing happened to me, but I wasn’t in a group or anything when it happened. Your baby was right where it wanted to be - with their favorite human.

I am sorry to hear about your cat. I hope Pip is well, I know how it is when you are desparately hoping that it is something treatable instead of something terminal.

Not sure if you want stories or not, but I just tore my house apart because of one of my cats.

The other day, one of my cats was desparately wanting out, more than normal, so my brother lets him out and says 'I need my glasses I can't tell what he has', talking about the cat that was already outside. I go and look and open the door, and the cat that just went out lost the mouse he had brought to the front porch, because the cat that just went out grabbed it and ran. Boy was the first cat upset...

Well, today, he brought another mouse, and I didn't see it in his mouth when I let him in. He released it. and it was still alive.
About a 1/3 of the way into the hunt for it, he gave up and finally we let the other cat in (the one that grabbed the first mouse). So, we were there moving things, the cat was hunting, and kept grabbing the mouse and releasing it before we could put both outside.

Finally after my bed was completely deconstructed, everything was moved from both behind and underneath it, and we were moving things from under the couch, we were there trying to grab the mouse with a grabber that completely sucks. I finally had to grab the mouse by the tail and take it outside.

Now I am sweating profusely, trying to cool off, and still need to finish putting everything back in place.

While this was going on, we had the front door open in hopes that the cat would grab the mouse and run out (no such luck) and my third cat used that opportunity to go exploring.

Ugh, yeah, any activity we do for a while, something in real life is bound to happen, though I understand feeling the dread of another "cursed" trial.

We have cats and dogs. One of the elderly dogs, who was always by my side, started having a seizure next to my gaming chair literally as I was about to draw and announce my guild's 50/50 raffle. I was in voice chat at the time with my BFF (also an officer in the guild), so she heard what was happening and was able to let the guild know that, obviously, the raffle drawing would be postponed and why.

He made it through the seizure physically. Technically. But his quality of life was fully gone, so the next day we sadly had to make that final visit to the vet to help him cross the Rainbow Bridge.

    I hope Pip recovers. <3

I am a cat person myself and I know how you feel. I lost two of my moggy friends, the first an 18 years old ginger Tom. He died on my lap. The second was the most delightful little female who passed after becoming very ill. In my younger days I was a sweaty Rugby forward, but I admit they both brought more than a few tears to my eyes. They just worm their way into your affections, in a good way. My dad was a cat person and my two brothers are as well, we were just brought up with them. Simple as that.

    I hope Pip makes it.

I lost all 4 of my cats in the space of just 4 months over the winter and it's left me devastated. All to different things. They all died in my arms and are now buried in my garden with plants on top as memorials for them.

it hurts, it really does, and I truly hope Pip comes through this.
RIP Atherton, my beautiful little gentle friend. I will miss you forever. Without you I am a hollow shell.

wanted to update, which i will see if it lets me do to the main post. As of today its been a week since the first vet visit roughly. Pip has been home for about 2 days now. His kidney levels managed to come down thanks to care. it cost several thousand so its unlikely i will be getting more crowns anytime soon (i got a lot the day before he got sick ><).

He is mostly himself. No idea if his kidney issues will totally come down, infection or elevation of his pre-existing issues, but he is not getting lots of extra water through some gravy smelling thing he enjoys.

For the moment my cat is still safe and still alive. He is happily been sleeping and protested his follow up this morning. First thing he did when he got home was climb his tree and ek-ek at the birds outside the front window.

i wish the game wasnt to stingy with the availability of the domestic pets in the game.. Pip is my second brown tabby, we have had half a dozen or so cats, 2 of which were black cats who are now long gone. Pip came into the house late in the life of the last black cat was still here. He tolerates other animals to a degree in the house, but it very much is just him and the humans in this house for the last 9+ years.

i am at least hopeful we have a few more years still.

Glad to hear that Pip is (cautiously) okay now. It is always difficult when your loved ones are ill.

I also agree about the pets in game. No game ever really seems to get my cats. We have had a lot of cats over the years, 3 orange and white tabbies, two siameses 'I wanna start cream but will keep darkening throughout my life', one of which got stripes, three black and whites, not tuxedos, one black and white that was more spotted, a couple of tortoishells, and some brown and white tabbies. None of these are easy to find as 'stock' cats in games. I have also had two black cats, a brown ticked cat, a gray cat, and two brown and white tabbies, and a calico, but those are more 'common' colors for games. Or at least can be approximated by in game colors.

I really hope you get the years with your Pip. It is never enough, even when you get 18+ years with them.
