I have the small one too, and that fish is still there. The large tank is completely empty of fish however. Maybe the nearby Makes-Many-Soups got carried away?

✭✭✭✭Check the retrieve feature; sometimes items will sink deep into the ground. That happened to me recently with the housing storage chests sinking. I'm not subscribed currently, so I didn't pick them up, instead I used Edit (modify) and was able to put them back on top of the ground.
