Add-Ons for Consoles

So, with the new update around several corners, Add-ons are supposed to be happening for consoles.
How will this be implemented?
Built in? so we just get to pick from a select few? Fully contained, one button selection? after all they all need their dependencies too.
Do we have a say on which ones will be available?

I use a few on PC these days, but having something like Writworthy on a console would be incredibly helpful. And Lazy writ crafter, and the one that has a big red X for maps, and an icon for survey locations. No doubt many more that I can't think of.

Because addons will be gamepad friendly ( I presume), will the PC gain gamepad control for add-ons?
I play a bit on my Legion Go, which is a pain with its tiny screen trying to touchscreen the little add-on menus.

There will be a built in addon store (free of course) to browse and download them (console only).
All your other questions rely on the addon authors, not on ZoS, some will make their add-ons compatible with consoles, some will be ported by other authors if they don't do it and new console only addon authors will come up with new addons.
Don't expect a ton of console add-ons at launch, the number of console addons will grow with time.
Also the add-ons for console have restrictions (less memory available, a few functions like changing the base game settings or taking a screenshot will not be available for add-ons on consoles) which means big fat heavy add-ons will be less likely to be ported and e.g. I will not be able to port my Synced Account Settings addon for consoles.
This also means console users won't be able to install a ton of add-ons like PC/mac users do, you'll have to pick only a few useful ones.
Do you have examples of PC add-ons not working with gamepad mode?

On the Legion I have to use a keyboard to access the menus. I can use the on screen keyboard for this. I then have to navigate via touchscreen. Fiddly.
No onscreen keyboard available on consoles.
The gamepad works natively on the Legion. For most things it's great.
No idea if gamepad mode is enabled, cannot check as the servers are down currently.

While I am very happy those of us plebs on console will have add-ons, something I know we've long waited for, I'm of two minds about it. As I said, I'm pretty stoked. I thank these mod authors that will bless us. [snip] The most used add-ons should just be base game QoL features. ZOS shouldn't rely on unpaid community members to take care of glaring holes in our quality of life. How do we not have a mini map? A price tracker. (Something I don't think will be available for console but correct me please if I'm wrong) I could go on, but I am grateful we'll have the option for some of these things. Bring on the combat stuff, mini map and treasure map markers!!!

The only way to bring up the settings menu is with a keyboard. I cannot get to settings with a controller.
There is an addon menu I can access with a controller, within the OPTION menu I think, but the only thing I can do there is either turn them off, or on.
