Daedric Summoning Changes Killed Jeffery

With the changes to Daedric Prey only buffing the class pet skills, doesn't that mean that not only are the non sorc pets excluded, (shade, bear, archer, BB, etc) but the pets from sets also lose the damage boost? That sort of kills the damage of a lot of sets that depended on the 45% increase to deal meaningful damage. The fabled Zoo spec is not only dead on arrival but even "classic" zoo builds wont really work the same anymore if at all.

I think it's for the best, but it means you don't need to use sets to get more pets, and can instead dedicate your sets to buffing your pets from skills.

Overall, I would say it's a trade-off (I'm actually more looking forward to pet builds now).

well the big issue is the set didnt receive anything in compensation fo rthe indirect nerf. It was already niche, only really being worth using with Daedric Prey, and in generally was really flavorful on a pet sorc.

A loss for petsorc, a win for tank-me not having daedroth ass blocking my ability to see the boss. Hmm.

As someone who plays all roles, I agree with everyone.

I think this is a terrible idea. Maw of the Inferno monster set will probably not be used ever by sorcerer because of this change. The whole point of building a pet build for sorcerer was to have as much pets as possible. So, you can say the "fair" trade is no one will bother with sorcerer pets now.
Making a game fun should be a priority. Making a game balanced should not come at the expense of fun.
