Out-Of-Character: I purchased this game back when Morrowind was in Beta because they finally added the Warden class and I was a long ear'd nature boy Bosmeri lover back then. I still am but the lack of long ranged bow sniping in game led me to something else. I do enjoy the bow in game and understand why they went with the weird force wall at a range in game but when I had Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind growing up I use to love to turn the sights off and try to hit things from as far as possible. I was hoping for that in Elder Scrolls Online but it just isn't here. So, this first character Andriel Forestwind was great in groups as a back row sniper/healer but wasn't as rounded [ie fun] as I had hoped. I tried a High Elf Sorcerer (later Arcanist) named Arithesuss Illyduss for a time as I use to play an all-out mage in all the Elder Scrolls games, but there are so many of those and again I after thinking about it I realized they weren't rounded enough to be fun for me causing me to reroll them a bunch. Enter the Necromancer a character who actually fit nicely into the storyline. I rolled them between rerolls of Arithesuss Illyduss and have since replayed all the Elder Scrolls games as them to fit my personal role-play as them. To that extent I wanted it somewhere online that I have and will continue to limit my characters in the Elder Scrolls to this.
In-Character: I know was born to a family of Nebenese who were at some point enslaved by the Ayleids. Then the Empire came, and we were absorbed as clerks and financiers for the Imperials under their rule but had always believe in a single deity. During the First Era some cult also saw it the same way and we become some of the first members of the Alessian Order only to have fractured from them by their doctrine of believing all are innocent before being proven guilty. Branded as moderately non-threatening rebels willing to work within the system or be bent to do so this would result in their family being barred from the upper echelons of the Empire even after the fall of the Alessian Order. The years would do by and eventually during the Second Era Heydan Seegil was born to the House of Seegil in the city of Anvil. However, even from an early age he was Nomadic as his father split from his mother to head north into Skyrim where he was imprisoned for tax evasion. Meanwhile his mother moved them all around the providence of Cyrodiil helping others secure the finances needed to buy their dream homes.
As an early adult Heydan Seegil headed off not to college or the military but to the tavern and inn all around touring to make his just due as a Lute player. He did very well at it as one in a group but when his main band was injured, he found himself quickly without any form of a gig. Lacking the finances to continue he lucked or auditioned his way into a scholarship at the University located on Summerset. While there was no formal arts program there was a history class, and he hoped to write a book on the history of music by compiling songs from all over and arranging them chronologically in order to better understand how Tamriel's culture evolved. To this end Heydan Seegil met a Altmer named Arithesuss Illyduss who was eager to edit and publish whatever he may find having a desire to similarly compile a history on the development of magic. Arithesuss Illyduss for their part had already been in contact with a young Bosmer named Andriel Forestwind who was studying history at the college with the dream of establishing a historical timeline of the various artistic movements around Tamriel. Andriel Forestwind believed it was necessary for the evolution of pod singing to encapsulate these artistic movements dreading that all the snug pods might look exactly the same. These three made fast friends and during their scholarship were unstoppable in all subjects drawing the admiration and jealousy of others.
Then it happened. The world grew dark for lack of a better term. Minds turned to hate and their friendship was invaded by the racism of other Altmer. While Arithesuss Illyduss did not express any of these racist feelings those of his kind who did had an effect of fear on him so great that he warned his two best friends to flee Summerset just before the worst of what was to come began. Along the way unbeknownst to Heydan Seegil his Bosmer friend Andriel Forestwind would be captured and slain by the Wurm Cult. Similarly, Heydan Seegil would be but his fate would result in a different tale. He would break free of Cold Harbor with the help of new friends, but the taint would never be gone as now lacking a soul he was cursed with the innate ability of Necromancy. At first, he struggled with this, but never once did he give in to the temptations of power that undeath could grant him. Heydan Seegil went to the Altmeri Dominion first seeking Andriel Forestwind but only ever found his art collection and a load of notes on art history that he sent to various publishers hoping one would collate the works into sometime for others. Then he ventured to the Ebonheart Pact seeking Arithesuss Illyduss who always spoke of seeing the top of Nirn but there was not a trace of him there. Having personally faced the inherent racism in the Queens ranks and the cowardice of the Thane's court Heydan Seegil embraced the Daggerfall Covenant trusting experience only to be rewarded as it appeared High King Emeric thrust his sword closest to the neck of the Wurm Cult.
Now having chosen his alliance Sir Heydan Seegil of the Daggerfall Covenant and the misanthropic Nebenese who is last of his line sets his sights towards publishing an tome of art, music, and author history of Tamriel along with locate his lost friends all the while unbeknownst to him his soul once shattered has now become a part of the Elder Scrolls causing him to divided throughout time. Each one of these lives unaware of the other as they all exist at different times in the history of things and all of whom are searching for their friends.
