Mage’s Guild Recall

On PTS we got a Mage’s Guild Recall customized action to try, But it’s not yet on live that I’m aware of. Does anyone know what is going to award that?

    I’m really looking forward to it, it’s a recall similar to what all the NPC portal-hopping mages have where we conjure and step through a portal to get where we’re going. I thought that should be in the game since Day One and I can’t wait to finally have it for my characters!

    It could possibly be from the next pursuit, as one of the milestone rewards. I expect the Breton hero statue will be the main one

    I was thinking that may be a possibility, a GP reward. I think January’s reveal letter also mentioned new quests for some of the NPC guilds in the game so it could be a reward for a new Mage’s Guild quest. I’d like a quest where the objective is to…
    …save Valaste from Uncle Sheo that awards two skill points to those of us that didn’t let her go with him in the end, but gives something else to those who did. If we didn’t let her go, she could’ve ultimately ended up there in some other way, and still have to be saved.

    Well, now we know. It's a fancier standard blue recall with a portal at the end, as a bonus for pre-ordering the season pass

    Agreed. I wish it was just opening the portal, holding it for a while to match the runtime of other recalls, and then stepping through.

    This doesn't give me a really good feeling that subclasses will be released in a functional, working condition given that it is extremely more complicated than a recall animation.

    Yeah, we’ve had a lot of issues with crown store cosmetics not behaving properly in game, unfortunately. Light effects going at right angles to their weapons, etc.

    That said, I don’t think the process or the team responsible for implementing crown store cosmetics would necessarily be the same as those for coding subclasses - the subclass system has the advantage of having the same stats and presumably the same visuals as the original lines. It should be copy and paste for the skills’ functionality and their animations, according to what content creators are saying. The difference is in terms of progression and cost: subclass skills cost more in skill points and must be leveled up again as subclasses, more slowly than as native ones.

    I do hope they change one animation, though - given that they used the original style of Aedric Spear for jabs in the promos. Either they’re going back to that or they forgot and rubbed salt in the wound by showing the old one instead of the U35 one…

    I mean the bad feeling is due to the overall quality control lately. . . events not working correctly, scribing skills being released woefully underpowered and then having to be fixed, PTS transferring to live servers, bad animations for effects in general (Grim Focus, Jabs, Flurry, etc.), and now even recall animations that don't function properly. I'm not sure anyone is actually testing these things anymore, so subclassing being released in a shoddy condition is almost expected at this point.

    I am not on PTS; however I bought the Content Pass today, the recall works like a charm traveling to a location, so assume paying for the pass will award that to your character
