I'm confused....

With the upcoming changes to The Elder Scrolls Online and the introduction of the seasonal pass, I'm beginning to question the overall value of ESO+. At this point, is the Craft Bag the only major benefit left? If so, perhaps it's time for ZOS to consider offering the Craft Bag as a standalone purchase in the Crown Store. Honestly, I’d be willing to pay $50 just for that feature alone.

There are already plenty of this type of threads, still open, with similar or the same question.

You aren't wrong, and ESO+ members (myself included) seem to be getting the shaft. Dragonnord there IS technically right in saying that a few dozen threads asking WTF we're paying for ESO+ are open. Personally, I think ZoS should start asking themselves if people will keep shelling out for the craft bag, since that's all they've reduced ESO+ to being.

I think people forget what all is included with Eso+.

Crowns per purchase point (Monthly, 3-, 6-, and 12-month respectively)
    Craft bag
    Double Bank Space
    10% Increased EXP/Gold/Inspiration/Fortune gain
    10% Increased Trait Research Speed
    Double Furniture slots in homes
    Double Transmute capacity
    Costume dyeing

And with the upcoming furniture vault, the value is there. The crowns alone almost make it worth the cost if you enjoy that.

I don’t think people are forgetting this and think they’re just understandably confused over the changes which seem specifically designed to obfuscate what amounts to little more than a price hike. The simple fact is that subscribers are now essentially going to be paying more for what used to be Chapters by being forced to buy them with these bundled Content Passes even though their subscription already grants them access to most of those features. Subscribers should clearly get a discount on Content Passes to account for that, otherwise it’s a straight up scam.

Meanwhile I wish that I had gotten all the DLC of the year when I bought chapters. There comes a point that ESO+ is more expensive than buying the DLCs. After many unfavorable decisions, I cancelled my ESO+ about 2 years ago (I had ESO+ for 2 or 3 years before that) and then had to buy every DLC that I didn’t own (it was a lot of dungeons…).
In the rare occasion I get ESO+ now, it’s just for dying/housing/craft bag dump/crown store reasons.

Edit: don’t get me wrong, I would be unhappy if I was still an ESO+ subscriber too. After all, I was displeased knowing I bought CWC when I could access it using ESO+ anyways. But sometimes you may not be able to have ESO+ or want to and in those times you wish that you got those DLCs.

First time in ten years I am not going to sub. I took one more month in ESO for anniversary. The hotfix has determined I am not worthy of anything good. I am tired of getting beginner level mats and NOT one gold anything except tired old motifs no one even will take free.

The sub classing was the proverbial straw.

Nothing changed for ESO+. The last change was last year, when they decided to no longer have a Q3 and Q4 DLCs.

All that changes in 2025 is the "Chapter". Instead of $40 for story content the size of a basegame zone, they now offer a $50 bundle that combines the (most likely considerably smaller) story content with the dungeon DLC. That's a 25% price increase on the story content when you aren't interested in dungeons, or already get the dungeons via ESO+

Should the 2025 season content not be included in ESO+ next year, we can talk about the value of ESO+ again, but right now, we get the same as before.

    So, this is absolutely true.

But it remains undeniable that part of the value has been removed: the DLC (non-chapter) content is gone, replaced with a chest for 500 furnishings. I’m not sure that balances.

It’s also undeniable that ESO+ subscribers are now paying twice for DLC dungeons as they are built into the price of the Season Pass AND the subscription.
