10-Year Anniversary Breton Hero Costume - Weapons floating mid air

Hey everyone,

Just wanted to bring something to the community's attention regarding the new Breton Hero Costume. While I absolutely love the aesthetic of this outfit, I've noticed a pretty significant visual oversight that affects melee weapon placement.

As you can see in the attached screenshot:

My character's sword appears to be floating noticeably away from their hip and clipping into the hands.

To illustrate that this isn't a general issue with all similarly styled costumes,
I've also attached a screenshot of my character wearing the Queen's Eye costume

As you can see in this image, the weapon sits flush against the character model, exactly as it should.

This offset with the Breton Hero Costume is quite distracting for me and really detracts from the otherwise fantastic design of the outfit.
It would be great to see this addressed in a future patch so that this awesome costume looks as good as it should.
It's understandable that with a game as large and complex as ESO, bugs can slip through the cracks. However, it would be great and respectful to the players if simple issues like this could be catched in QA in future.

Thanks and hopefully, we'll see a fix for this soon.

Also got the costume today and immediately noticed the same issue. I even submitted a quick ticket about it, not that I expect it to result in any change.

It's the only one of the costumes I've looked forward to using so this is very disappointing. When I switch between costumes, the weapon position is noticeably changing, so it appears the anchor points for DW weapons are simply wrong on it.

I really hope something is done.

I posted elsewhere that while I love the costume, the dye channel for the boots was disappointing because the boots are the same channel as the pants and shirt, I personally think it would’ve been better if the boots had used the same channel as the gloves. I hadn’t noticed the issue with weapons because the only character I’ve tried it on so far uses a staff.

It looks horrible on a character with boobs. Disappointing.

Weapons floating off the hip has been an issue plaguing costumes and outfit styles for the game's entire life. It's amazing they continue to let it be an issue, unless they actually decided to never fix it.

An other costume I might never use in the future...

Aside from the texture improvement, all three versions are a step back from the original ones. All are dyed black.. even though the heroes don't wear black, aside from the Breton.

If you look at the "classic" costumes, each has some unique elements specific to its faction. The Nord hero costume is the most obvious. Also the Breton one is unique, because no other costume in the game features such a cape.

Unfortunately, the new costumes are too similar. The Nord one lost the most. Instead of plate armor, it has very large comfy fur pieces that look odd. I also don't understand what the designers wanted to do with the capes. The Elven costume has a small rag that can't be dyed, and the Breton costume had it's cape torn off, or so it seems. Also, it is pretty weird that for a costume designed in 2024-25, there is no cape animation. Why is that? For a 10 year anniversary, there should have been something totally new. And why the costumes are different from what we see in the cut scenes?

I agree. When I saw the original in the store I felt it looked nicer despite being older. I still need to do a few things for the new one, and it’s otherwise free, but not sure if I’ll use it.

Oof, yeah I just tried it on my dual wield bosmer and it's bad. Poor Breton Hero, first it's a pudgy raincoat and now this.
