Hotfix Clarification please?

@ZOS_Kevin since we can't reply in the Patch Notes and Hotfixes section, I'll just post this here...

As per the hotfix notes you posted (screenshot below), the Archival Sacks of Provisioning were fixed as well. But what's not apparent is whether they've been dropping at a higher than intended rate the whole time, or did they see a bump at the same time the Jubilee Reward boxes started dropping and were simply lowered back to right before Jubilee levels. Could you please provide some clarification on this?

These items were the ones that kept me interested in the event, not anymore. Fill my tickets to 12, get my daily login and that`s all.

I got 6 mourning dew and 5 Rubyblossom extract in two days with my only boxes being earned via daily crafting writs.

    The drop rate was overtuned.

In previous events I would get 2 or 3 of these over the course of the entire event.

Yeah my experience is similar. The rewards boxes definitely needed a fix. But since I hadn't purchased any Archival Sacks since the event started, I have no idea how they were dropping during that time. And IMHO the drop rate wasn't excessive prior to the event start, so would be disappointed to see them nerfed down. Hence my request for clarification.

The drop rate was incorrect and dropping higher than it should have been at the start of the event. The hotfix was to bring it back inline with the intended drop rate from previous years. So not nerfing them, but bringing them back inline to be consistent. We know this is frustrating, but the team is trying to make sure there is consistency regarding the higher value drops.

@ZOS_Kevin Yes, I understand the hotfix is to bring rewards back in line with previous Jubilee events. However, what I'm asking about is the Archival Satchel of Provisions which are not tied to the Jubilee Event (including past events) in any way. Yet they were included in the reduction in drop rate. So what I'm asking is.. Did the Archival Satchels of Provisions mistakenly get bumped when the event kicked off and are now back to pre-Jubilee levels? Or have they always had a higher than intended drop rate and that has now been corrected?

That's the point that is not clear. And if the drop rate in those are now lower than they were before Jubilee, a lot of players will take notice and there are sure to be some emotional questions.

I am pretty sure this is because a youtube video recently came out explaining how to buy these and sell the contents for good money ingame. Would be a weird coincidence if not.

I'm just here scratching my head...

In what universe is 'Cyrodiil Citrus' a 'highly valuable item'?

Did Nocturnal succeed in her plot to use the heart of transparent law to reshape reality and my account was left behind on a 'leftover' pocket dimension while 'the chosen ones' moved on?

I have not gotten one thing worth having since the so-called hotfix. I don't understand the logic in ruining the main event of the year. You may have gotten one more month of sub money from me, but for ten years this was the event I subbed for year for.
    Never again.

Did someone change the number somewhere in the configuration before launching the event? Is this something built from scratch every year? I'm confused how we got here, tbh.

I really wish ZOS would err more on the side of generosity than whatever guided this decision. Moves like this ruin events for people, and ultimately that comes back to you guys in some way. It's an 11 year old game and events like these don't really have many new or meaningful rewards for long-time players. Those rewards that were just nerfed were those meaningful rewards.

    Big oof.

Was glad to receive some of these items but didn't think they were dropping that excessively.
