Anniversary Event - Farming - New Player question

With recently starting ESO, i'm very happy that these weeks have been quite eventful, allowing me to try out different classes and level them quickly to get to understand how they play.

and that's just it. I have one char lvl50 and 6 at 20-40 lvl range :D I kind of feel like i might not be maximising my already limited time to play correctly.

I hear from chats, and yt that this event can yield few mil gold in an hour!! that's way more than I have ever had.

One of the goals i have this event is to get that armour at the end of 20 quests.

Is there anything else I should be focusing on to not miss out on hefty rewards, but find my way in the already heavy game.

thanks!

unlock crafting dailies on all of your chars and do them daily - this way you level the smaller ones a bit an get loads of quick event boxes

Well that "armor" is just a costume.

You can get 10 TOT games real quick. Always pick Saint and Hundling (they give points). Turn auto play off. Just hit return. You don't have to win any games. It took me less than 15 minutes to get 10 games .... (and I was strength training just popping that return key) that gives you 2/20. If you see a low card that is worthless buy that so more important cards may come up. Dont pick the Psychic one because you have to place an agent in order to flip that. Smart players can see you aren't really playing and will get a quick patron victory.

Remember you don't have to win, just finish. You can NOT concede and get credit. IMO you do NOT want to play these PVP version of TOT under any circumstance because players will take the full time to pick cards. These games can take up to one hour if you really play. NOT WORTH IT.

And remember: Dark anchors also count as incursions. More basically "free" boxes to check off. For the world boss one, there are always players hanging around that one at Wayrest. Just jump the wall. Waiting for respawn is quicker than going to new ones. Just be watchful and make sure you get a hit on the npc to get credit. You ALWAYS have help here.

    To play correctly :
    - Assess what your goals are ( sure they can evolve and change with more knowledge about the game )
    - Work toward realising the goals you have set to yourself

The anniversary event can ( possibly ? ) be a great source of income; do you need that gold, particularly in the short / medium term ? If yes, look for ways to maximize your profit during the event ( and be wary of clickbait stuff and outdated informations I would add ), if no, don't bother with it.

The armour you're talking about, is this the Breton Hero one from the golden pursuit ? What you need to do is pretty obvious in that case.

Each event also come with some 'exclusive' stuff, part of them are tied to the event itself ( in the case of this anniversary event, it's the Cult Hunter Armour ), part of them are distributed along the year ( in the case of this year, it's all the things about the truth and logic stuff ); and, at least, you can also get past years rewards from, well, past years events ( split in roughly three categories ). There is also the indriks vendor.

For the actual ( ie the Cult Hunter Armour ), you will get one motif on the first Anniversary Present ( the golden one ) you open each day; you can also buy the motifs from the impresario.

Edit about Anniversary Presents : you get them from daily quests; first one is golden with additionnal rewards, subsequent ones are purple with still possibility of good rewards. Check the official article for details about what's can be found inside.

For the year long event rewards system : you buy all the stuff from the impresario, using tickets ( more on that at the end of the post ).

For the past years rewards :
    - The old year long event rewards can be found at the assistant, near the impresario, and bought with tickets; the stock shift each quarter year, or something like that, but eventualy everything is available at some point.
    - The old anniversary events reward can be obtained in two ways : from the bag of old stuff sold by the impresario for tickets, or in the case of some more recent rewards, from the Anniversary gift ( golden as well as purple ones ).

For the indriks, it's an alternate way to spend tickets, in order to buy indriks mounts and pets; I won't go into the details, but simply said it cost a somewhat high number of ticket, and the stock follow a quarter year rotation ( you have different kind of indriks in winter, spring, summer and autumn, repeating I think each year, or something like that ).

For the tickets : each event will reward some; for the anniversary, you will get them inside the cake, you get by doing the event quest ( you will find it in the store, though it's free ). You can also buy tickets from the store.

For further reading, check the article from ZoS ( may contain some wrong informations, but it cover some basics ), and of course i'm pretty sure you can find more informations on the web. And also explore, seek, talk to NPC, and get a better understanding of how things work !

And i'd say, above else, enjoy the game. A lot of things are not stricly fomos, but will come back in the future, so to quote some friend here, you're most valuable currency here is your time. Use it wisely.

Er...what chats and Youtube videos are saying you can make a couple million gold from the Jubilee in an hour? That's not even remotely the case for a newer player, or hell, even older ones like myself.

If you dedicate and maximize your time into getting max Jubilee boxes on all of your characters you CAN make a decent chunk of gold depending on your luck, but that requires you to get good drops that are worth a lot of Gold, and to be able to sell them. You also can't try to sell right away because the prices on stuff tank during the Jubilee and don't go back up for a handful of months after it ends.

It IS possible to make millions off the Jubilee, but not in an hour, and you need to have enough characters to make it worthwhile. The easiest way to get a decent number of boxes is to get all your characters certified in crafting (find the large white billboards in places like your Alliance's starting city, or the crafting centers in places like Alinor or Blackwood) and get the quest for getting certified. If you have access to Summerset you'll need to go to Alinor to get certified in Jewelcrafting. Once you can do that, do all seven crafting dailies on all your characters, and do it for the whole event.

You can have up to eight characters without spending money to unlock more slots, and a character only needs to be level six in order to get certified. They don't need any levels or skill points put into any crafting skills, as each character can craft level one armor for their race by default. You WILL need mats for this, though; if you're on PC NA I can spare you a decent amount to get you started since I'm a crafter and hoard the hell out of mats, even ones I don't need lol. Here's a link to a guide to help figure stuff out.

There are a number of other things you can also do, if you have the time and feel like doing them. Clearing out Incursions like Dolmens, Geysers, and Vents gives you boxes. Killing World Bosses or the final boss in group Dungeons like Fungal Grotto give them. Doing town dailies in Cyro (so ones in places like Bruma or Cheydinhal) will give you boxes. Basically any repeatable daily quest will reward you with Jubilee boxes. I'm pretty sure daily quests for stuff like killing Dragons also give them. So if for whatever reason crafting dailies don't suit your fancy, there are a bunch of other things you can do. A full list of stuff you can do is as follows:

    38b04eae9709a0b15dd81191bb50786f.png

All that said...no one gets a couple million gold in an hour from the Jubilee itself. The only way that happens is if you're somehow ultra super ridiculously lucky and manage to get two or more Aetheric Ciphers within an hour of one another, as those seem to still average close to 2m each.

ETA each character can only earn 25 boxes per day, btw 50 boxes from daily quests, but you can get unlimited ones from the sources that aren't quests (aka Incursions, WBs, etc).

ETA 2, if you want anything from the Impressario, you'll need to do the free quest you can purchase from the Crown Store (iirc it's called For Cake's Sake) and do that to get access to the Jubilee cake. Once you have it, it'll be under Tools and you use it every day to get three Event Tickets. These are used to buy different things, mostly pieces for Mounts or the Morphing Collectibles that can be, well, morphed, into various Collectibles (like Mounts, Houses, or Costumes).

A link to the article this year with the different rewards you can get, including with Event Tickets
A link to the different Morphing Pets and the stuff they can turn into

Whut.. not so hard. All ya gotta do is loot an Aetheric Cipher every 4th box, and Atherial Dust the other 3. Easy peasy!

[edit] In case it's wasn't obvious, my comment was supposed to be sarcasm. Dunno why anyone would clicky Insightful. LOL!

This is completely false. I got over 200 the first day and over 150 the second day. The purple boxes are unlimited.

There is a maximum of 50 daily quests per character per day. Not 25 (You can only gather 25 quests in your journal at the same time though).

Plus: The event drops boxes for every boss (open world, dungeon‘s last one, trial‘s last one, incoursions) without any cooldown.

Hehe, I think it's probably people who don't realize how rare Aetheric Ciphers are. I've been playing pretty much since the game launched, save for maybe a year total because of different things, and I've only ever gotten three of them (all from Jubilee boxes). Also I miss the times when Aetherial Dust was like 500k per XD.

As @Aylish said, there's a maximum number of repeatable quests you can do per day. That's what I was referring to but a) got the number wrong (not sure where I got 25 from) and b) didn't forgot to clarify I meant the limit was on quests, not on boxes in general.

Are you sure about the no cooldown thing? I thought there was/is a global cooldown on looting most types of bosses, such that killing them too close together (such as in a public dungeon) could result in getting no loot if there hasn't been enough time elapsed since the previous boss?

Even if a boss drops only gold, I get a box. So yes: No cooldown on boxes at all.

as long as you are having fun, you are doing it right. making millions in a few hours during this event... would be much easier in past years than it is now because of what has happened with the in game economy. i'm sure it's not impossible, but it was so much easier before. you don't even have to participate in the event to do it. a big money maker during these double xp things is selling alch/enchanting/provisioning writs and selling the alch mats that ppl need to complete them. you can still do this... but in previous years you would have made 2-4 times as much for the same items

I'm averaging 1 a day so far, so I'm happy. If this keeps up I won't have to farm IA for it for a while. So that's nice. Though admittedly I've opened a lot more boxes in the past 3 days than the IA boxes I've opened over the past few months.
