When it’s time for you to quit. We all have different expectations and tolerances.

i left a group yesterday because of low DPS and several other stuff. We was in the dungon where you can get magma (forgot the engl. name). DDs pulled all my adds and die ok shxt happens to the first boss. I spot the adds the boss, the group spam LA on boss and adds, dont go out of aoes, i thought that will be....btw was on norm.

Second boss was where i left the group. I spotted Atros and boss but again no Damage on boss or atros. At the this point (maybe to late) i knew we will not completed this.

As a tank main player, I always do effort to save lowbie's chance to get set gear.
But 50% PUGver don't know basic rule of role combat at all. (non vet~CP2500)
(Steal tank's taunt, can't do effective damage deal, die within 3 sec, no healing....
DPS keep standing in the AOE)

At least, please do fundamental preparation for the dangerous mission.
(basic role build, basic role gear, food, mundus, and please don't be headless panicked chicken )

2. Non-tank pulling bosses instead of waiting for the tank to pull the boss.

I’d like to refine the question. Because after years of doing this I find that a lot of things can play into it from real life to blood sugar level.

What circumstances are there such that me bailing is not the toxic problem but rather my groups behavior is the toxic problem.


1. Extremely deficient dps. I’m not talking below my preference dps. I mean the dungeon will literally take an hour or more kinda dps. By virtue of group finder I’m accepting the chance for below par. But at a certain point it gets to “I don’t owe you two hours of my life.” At this point the toxicity factor is individuals coming into vet dungeons with 10k dps, not my leaving. If I blow warhorn twice on opening trash pack, the problem in the group finder community isn’t me leaving, it’s something else.

2. If it becomes clear that the group is flat incapable of completing the dungeon for whatever reason. And I mean very clear. I wouldn’t say they are being toxic here. But I sometimes won’t wait for them to figure out what I already know: we ain’t winning here. To balance this comment however, I will quite often, even usually, persist with a terrible group because I love to see what I’m capable of. Tanking for a bad group is like a whole new difficulty setting.

3. Extreme rudeness. I’m not sticking around for people to treat each other less than human.


What these three have in common is that in each situation, if the group finder is a bad place, it’s not because I left. It is because of the situations I’m leaving. And I can sleep knowing I’m a positive on the ESO dungeon community rather than a reason somebody would avoid it.

Let's just say I'd rather have a fake healer/tank than a fake DPS....
