Commemorative Safebox Looter Further Bugged on Console

I'm playing on XBox NA, and wanted to start checking off safeboxes for the achievement even though there are known issues, including:

Safeboxes in Wrothgar and Northern Elsweyr will not trigger, making the component incompletable.

I opened safeboxes in all starter zones (Bal Foyen, Bleakrock, Stros M'Kai, Betnikh, and Khenarthi's Roost) and none of them checked off. Forcing locks or manually picking didn't change the checking off behavior.

I know it's on the list to fix later, but I just want to call attention that there are more zones broken than Wrothgar and Northern Elsweyr so the upcoming fix works for consoles as well.

It's not triggering in the Deadlands either. I looted two in Wretched Spire, 1 via force lock, and 1 I picked. Neither registered on the achievement page.

No safeboxes are registering for me on PS/NA. I tried Deadlands, Bal Foyan, Auridon, and Alik'r. I tried picking and forcing. I tried with Auto-Loot stolen on and off.

Yup, I can confirm this isn’t working.

Did a few safe boxes in Alik’r and not registered..Tried picking and also forcing, no effect.

PS4/5. I opened a safebox in Alikr at the Inn and did not get credit. I then went to Auridon at the fighter's guild and did not get credit. I logged my character out for the day and logged back in the next day and did not get credit at the fighter's guild again. I manually picked the locks.

On the plus side it is nice to see a few new achievements. I didn't realize these were there until Friday.

Didn't know there were new achievements or dyes(aside from the Fallen Banners dye ofc) and unfortunately the Gold Leaf achievement* is hella bugged and not showing for me 😞

Was hoping this achievement would have been fixed in the incremental patch today for consoles, but instead of a fix it looks like this achievement was actually just deleted from the achievement journal. I can still see the locked "10-Year Anniversary Gold Leaf" dye at a dye station, but the achievement to earn it is now gone.

I didn't see anything in the incremental patch notes that this achievement was purposely removed or even touched, so why is it now not showing?

The dye will most likely be available through some other means or if the achievement gets fixed. Sounds like the fix might take a while so it was just removed. There's no point in having a dye that can't be used.

Just a question (i'm not on console): does someone try to earn the safebox achievement again and opened one or two?
Because the describtion at the dye station speaks of a "hidden achievement", doesn't it? May be it appears then?

Before the incremental patch on console, you could see the achievement in your journal, but no one could get credit for any safe box in any zone. This was different from PC where you could actually get credit in most of the zones and get enough for the achievement to pop.

Now after the incremental patch on console, the achievement has completed disappeared from the achievement journal. Yes, you can see the locked dye at the station that shows "hidden achievement." I've picked up a few safeboxes the last couple days, but there is no way to see any progress being made or if the tracking is still broken as it was before the patch.

Joining in as a PC EU player. The following zones are not granting the achievement no matter how many different safe boxes in these zones I crack open.

- Stros M'kai
- Wrothgar
- Northern Elsweyr
- Will update as I'm currently doing every zone for the achievement in order. Stay tuned.

Final Update:

The progress simply doesn't appear in the achievements log BUT happens in the background. With Stros M'kai, Wrothgar and Northern Elsweyr still greyed out, the last zone done granted the achievement on PC EU.
So on PC, it's a mere visual issue.

Are there any updates for console? The dye still shows "hidden achievement" and the achievement is not listed. Can we expect to see this soon?

This achievement is still unavailable for console even after today's Incremental #2 patch.

In the off chance (as a PC player suggested earlier in this thread) that this might just be a visual bug for console and could still be completed, I went to every zone possible and looted a safebox. The achievement did not register and the dye is still locked.

History:

This achievement appeared in the journal in U45 on console, but was bugged and NO ZONE would count and thus no progress could be made to complete this achievement. The 10-Year Anniversary Gold Leaf dye does show at a dye station as 'Unlocked by the "Commemorative Safebox Looter achievement."
Then in Incremental #1 patch, the achievement completely disappeared from the journal. The locked dye is still visible at a dye station, but now says "Unlocked via hidden achievement."
As of today's Incremental #2 patch, no update - achievement is still hidden and broken. Dye still shows "Unlocked via hidden achievement."

Fixed the “Commemorative Safebox Looter” achievement. Progress is now properly tracked, and the achievement is completable.

As of today, 5/18/25, this is still broken, the achievement isn't listed in the journal under Character---> Anniversary--->Commemorative Safe box looter and the dye, 10 year anniversary gold leaf is still locked. PS5NA

As the poster above says, this will be fixed with Update 46 which hasn't arrived yet. Consoles get U46 on 18th of June
