Event? Time for maintenance!

WHY are we getting more maintenance during an event? Seriously, why can't you guys just postpone the maintenance until the event is over? This event is extremely short and limited, and now you're cutting it off by one more day? Never fails, you guys always interrupt every single event.

Are we going to be getting an extension at all? Nah, most likely not.

How many downtime extensions? There are fixes with the new monster style pages and they're putting Cyrodiil back to normal I think. It has been planned.

Regardless if it's planned or not, it's during an event every time. Guarantee they're not even going to fix the bugs. They need to give us an extra day at the very least.

I don't mind as long as servers are back up when I wake up. ;) but I'm not really into the event, other than leveling a new alt.

The last event (MYM, I think?), they did wait for the event to end before carrying out maintenance. This event doesn't end for a few more days, so we won't miss much.

Them waiting one time doesn't excuse all the other times they don't wait. This was already an extremely short event, and now we're losing a day on top of that.

Previously they said they don't have the ability to extend an event. Hopefully they learn how to run 2 events at once.

That is such a lame joke of an excuse. The people running the game, in control of literally everything that happens, and they don't have the ability. LOL.

They are putting back the pvp to normal and the maintenance won't last all day ... Just have to wait really and stop complaining for something that was expected ^^

I'm aware of what they're doing, this still doesn't excuse the fact that they poorly planned a PvP test alongside a limited time event. Also, no, people need to complain about things that annoy them. Zos needs to hear our frustrations. ^^

I dare say there are any number of players who don't wish to be included in your group of 'we'.

Unless this is the period of time one is able to play, and there are people who don't have the 'luxury' of just playing later, instead, so *you* might not miss much, but assuredly there are people who will.

There are people who can play whenever they want to, and other's who are restricted by life outside the game as to when they can play.
Is it really so hard to recognize that blocking out time INSIDE the parameters of the event schedule that can't be accessed affects players event rewards while the event is running?

If not playing during the event Vs playing during the event means players won't miss much, why bother having events at all?

Just an opinion, agree, don't, it really won't matter to the Mother Ship.
The problem with society these days is that no one drinks from the skulls of their enemies anymore.

Let's not pretend to be surprised by this. The issue with the skins is known and the log in screen has stated this maintenance for a few days now. Besides there is almost always maintenance during events. It's nothing new.

I understand that every game needs maintenance, and ESO seems to need even more. Why? I don’t know. But what I do know is that I paid for ESO+ for 30 days, which equals 720 hours. However, due to maintenance, I can only play around 684 hours. I would be happy if I could fully use the time I paid for.

Every month, ZOS takes away more than 24 hours of something I paid for. But yeah... what can we do...
If someone buys a full year of ESO+, that means 432 hours, or about 18 days, are taken away due to maintenance. Funny, right?

Agreed. I've never played a game, MMOs included, that require THIS much maintenance. It's ridiculous, especially during events. Stuff like this makes me seriously consider ending my ESO+ sub.

You lose a day because of a 4 hour maintenance? A day has 24 hours...just a short reminder.

Also they can't delay the maintenance, as their birthday celebration is back on back with jesters event. You want to delay maintenance for 3 weeks then?

When, like MANY others, my short window of time I have to play is interrupted and ruined by maintenance, that ENTIRE day is taken away from me. These are the only hours I can actually get on to play, and it's even worse during an event when I am unable to claim my tickets for that day. Also, yes, they most certainly can delay maintenance. Don't try and pretend it's not feasible for devs to make it work.

Also again, no, maintenance is very rarely just for 4 hours. They're more like 6+ hours.

They're cleaning up after vengeance test pretty sure, that's definitely more important done right than any 4h disruption of an event that's runs the same every single year

The maintenance window is 2 hours on either side of daily reset, so it's definitely not as limiting as some maintenance sessions have been. I say this as someone who has missed out on tickets due to 8-12 hour maintenance sessions in the past. In this case, most players should have an opportunity to still get tickets before the next day is over.

Also, it's only Jester's, other than tickets, what else would you miss out on? Style pages are so common they're practically giving them away on guild traders.

All in all, I'd rather they schedule the maintenance now, rather than during the Anniversary Event.

We knew this one was coming for ages.

They told us way back during the Vengeance Q&A that any new Campaigns (which Vengeance is one of them) need a maintenance on either side to ensure it spins up and spins down properly. So yes, we knew there was going to be one today.

This is only a few hours and it's not the last day of the event. And this was one known that it was coming months in advance.

Any amount of interruption, especially during an event, is limiting. Missing tickets alone is enough for a complaint, but along with not getting the abysmal drop rate fragments for the Sovereign Sow is also pretty annoying. Been grinding for that pet for years and only have 3 fragments, but that's another discussion.

Not legit in this case, as they warned us before Vengeance even started that there needed to be a maintenance on either side of it to properly turn it on and turn it off.

Cool, some warning a few days/weeks/months ago doesn't make this any less inconvenient or legitimate. Again, they could've done this the previous week, NOT when there's going to be events live. [snip]

It takes 2 minutes to log in, port to Stonefalls, grab the quest, steal the apples, run to the pig and run back.

Bam - gold coffer, 3 tickets.

You don't have 2 minutes any other time of the day to do this?

Make that 20 minutes including Login queue, fails, errors, LAG, unresponsive controls and disconnects in spite of constant maintenance.
