I been playing on PC for awhile, and about to start playing on XBox X/S, does PC Sub cover Xbox?

Darkshadow1911
Hi, I am wanting to find out, if I need to buy another copy of Gold Road etc, and sub, if I have a PC version of both? I have my PS/Xbox/Steam etc all linked to my ESO account. So, if someone could help me out with this questions, thank you.

You will need to buy everything again, yes.

It's going to be treated as a separate account, so nothing you have purchased on PC will be available on Xbox.

You will also need a new sub for the Xbox version, as well as paying for Gamepass to have internet access each month.

unfortunately my Adult son, never listen to me that PC was better then Xbox, and bought the hype that it was an all in one, home pc thing. that was a few years ago, but now I am still playing games he cant (like Dune awakening) etc, or be in beta or alphas that he cant, he now wants a PC, at the best time in the last 30 years to build one. JK this is sarcasm. I would hate to get parts today. But we want to play together along with a few of friends he and I have that have xboxs. They Need a PC. I have ps/xbox/switch and the Great PC, and I play 90% PC. Sorry anyways, didnt mean to go off like that. I need know to decide 1 sub and one account to play, or play on XBox with him/them and play PC where I love and get with a active guild. I been away for about 6 months. left because I am still new to game, and Guild fell apart and had no one really to play with and it guild thing left a bad taste in my mouth and needed a break. and I been talking about coming back for the past 2 days, and son started saying he wanted to start playing too. but he works ungodly amount, and I am disabled and have tons of time. Stuck at home, need to make new friends.

    Ill stop now sorry again.

    EU or NA?
XBOX EU server is not hugely populated; XBOX NA is better if you aim to find people to play with probably.
PC seems more of a safe bet; you should have no problems there in any case.

I'll be on na on xbox but will be continuing with pc too. Got to much to walk away from as a main character. Also I'm hope he will get a pre built or something soon.

There is a way to keep the costs down, but it requires having two Xbox consoles.

You set the console that your son plays on as your "Home" console which gives him access to all the things you purchase on your account, including Gamepass. Using Gamepass, he can play ESO without having to purchase it separately.

The only rub is that I don't think you can both be playing the same game at the same time via Gamepass.

For instance, I have both a Series S and a Series X. I set the series S as my home, but I play and make all my purchases on the Series X. My wife has full access to all my purchases and my Gamepass sub on the Series S. She signs in under my profile, switches to hers and then signs me out. She then proceeds to play whatever, leaving me free to sign in on my X and do whatever while not kicking her out of her session.

We use this technique to play Baldur's Gate 3 together without buying two copies of the game.

It’s not a good idea to do this, unless you’re fine with starting over.
