Evening folk

Was curious what we all thinking there being a possibility one day to make it so you can break down "unwanted" items from Crown crates in to gems, akin to what you can do now with duplicates and pots, foods, scrolls and some others.

Sometimes there is items i >Really< want in those crates, and whilst Endeavors are lovely, they are limited... I now have multiple mounts, costumes and knickknacks that i will Never use. So how come we can't trade in some of those rewards for gems?

"other then trying not to think of the morality of chucking a Guar in the gem grinding machine"

What yall think?

This would be nice, I mean they already don't give the full gem value for duplicates and for the items we *can* break down into gems. So it's not like people would be racking up massive gem collections from this.

My guess is there may be technical issues doing this with items that are "collected" vs. items that go into inventory and can be broken down into gems.

But I'd absolutely love to trade unwanted mounts and costumes and such back for some gems, yeah.

Agreed. There are 3 things total in this current crate bundle that appeal to me, and one of them is the reward you only get for spending 8000 crowns.

If I could turn everything I dont want into gems allowing me to get the few items I actually like, I'd be more inclined to spend the money.

As it stands, I see no reason to spend the money knowing full well I most likely wont even get the items I do want on top of getting a bunch of stuff that has ZERO appeal to me.

Ohh well, just more money left on the table.

They can remove items from collections. Customer support did it for me once when a free crate gave me a pet spider.

I suspect the 'problem' is that would be nice, and crown crates don't exist to be nice for players, they exist to be profitable. Giving you items you don't want makes them more profitable, because then it takes more attempts to get the things you do want, whilst still getting something to encourage the hope that next time it will be the something you want.

I fear this might be part of the reason :c that said, with the changes in Lootbox laws, wich ZoS already shown some respect for with the Endevour system and such, there might be hope yet? :D
