CP in BG

Wouldn't it be nice to have CP enabled in BG? It won't be unfair as most players have more than enough to fill 12 slots.

Because it puts anyone who doesn't have enough cp at a distinct disadvantage.

2 sided bgs are already off the charts with how uneven the skill gap and matchmaking are. This would only exacerbated the gaps.

We already have under 50 and 50 and over groups.

Only for players between 0 CP and around 800 CP. How many of under 800 cp players have you seen that actually play BGs and not dying almost instantly? Also going from 0 to 800 is fast.

No. It takes a lot more than 800 cp to get full.

Also, that grind takes a long time.

Also, only for them, this implies that group of players doesn't matter. They do matter because we need to encourage more people to pvp, not fewer.

It was fun in 2018 but wouldn't be now. Keep it no-cp. Healers are much more killable here.

Nah there's far too much disparity in CP across the random groups. In 4x4 competitive I frequently see people with 2-300 cp in the same team as people with over 2000.

It would be terrible to introduce CP into BG's.

First and foremost the disparity of vet and new players making the new onboarding players PvP experience more miserable.

And secondly: it would need to be added into whatever MMR system they have, so even fewer matches to play and longer queue times.

If you want a CP pvp experience check out Cyrodiil.

Furthermore, if the server is having a bad day, making it trying to do CP calculations will probably add to the lag, but probably not as bad as Cyrodiil.

Then there are the CP defence builds...was in a BG one night where several players were wasting their time trying to kill a pvp tank and ended up getting farmed by the "softer" builds lol. Now throw in CP and it gets worse.

BG's are bad enough as they are, lets not make it worse please.

Everyone asking for CP in BGs clearly wasn't around or doesn't remember when BGs launched with CP - spoiler, it was a miserable experience.

If you think certain groups are tanky in BGs now, it would be 1000x worse with Champ Points enabled. BGs do not have enough damage to support CP enabled. The amount of sustain you get from Champ Points is way too much for the amount of damage coming in from only 4 or 8 players.
