PCNA problems? booted from server

Got booted now get a queue and the 307 (6:3:1663:126) error. Anybody else seeing this?

Yes I was booted in a trial and got back in after going into a Queue. Now someone else is booted getting 307 and cannot log in..

I got in with my 2nd account but my first account still gives the error. They suggest waiting 20 minutes after getting the error so I guess I'll run around on the 2nd account for a while.

just got booted from the game, so did our healer....now in a login queue with the wait time not doing anything.

Stuck at 1 sec in queue....so much for a dungeon run....

Same, was then put in queue, got back in, but have deserter penalty for BG and we were winning too when it kicked me

Same. They should rethink/revamp the deserter penalty, I see its purpose but getting one after crashing due to server issues is a real slap in the face.

I know being DDOSed is not a ZOS issue, but this happens weekly now. I'm not sure if this is anyone's fault, but frankly for a game that has come out and said they've made now over US$2billion from it their DDOS protection/mitigation is lacklustre. There are tons of other MMOs out there that are both less and more successful that don't have this problem with DDOS/servers/downtime this regularly.

not quite true.

World of Warcraft has been attacked a lot recently. all though their race to worlds firsts on their mythic raid was won by a US guild... they have been attacked and had a lot of disconnects during the race on their American servers. someone wanted to let a non-American guild win.

and after the US guild won that, the attacks suddenly went quiet.

I'd be curious to see/hear what ZoS thoughts are on their DDoS mitigation. At this point it seems like they have to have it up 24/7 due to all the attacks. It adds a bit of performance hits to the mix (their words). Are they considering alternative mitigation methods, going after the bad actors, what is the thought/plan?

While procuring new cybersecurity mitigation services may be in order here, people have to keep in mind the motivation bad actors have with this kind of stuff. Sure ZoS can manually intervene but bad actors have all the time in the world and just adjust and start their attacks from a different vector. Seems the issue here may have a deeper meaning and these constant attacks are giving vengeance...

The thought of this scares me considering how much latency this causes. I raid 2x a week and past 9pm I cannot raid because my skills will not fire or there is a delay in every ability that requires channel. I play as a templar main and every time I try "rapid strikes" or "Lethal Aim" (Channeled abilities) there is sooo much delay causing it to throw me off completely. It has been quite a rough month or so. Hope they fix this soon, I love this game so much but every instance of this is pushing me away.
EDIT: Funny I mention I am a templar main yet the 2 abilities that I use as a spammable are non-templar skills (So much for class identity).

We do not have any downtime scheduled right now. That sounds like a GeForce specific issue. But please put a ticket in and we can investigate.

They're partnered with Akamai who was a pioneer in ddos mitigations and maintains a very good reputation with a robust infrastructure.

I've noticed that when mitigations are in place, my route to the NA datacenter changes.

And they're owned by Microsoft which has a history of doing everything possible to shutdown ddoses and botnets at their source, including legal action.

However, it's a constant cat and mouse game that cannot be won. At the heart of the issue are challenges much larger than ZOS or even Microsoft.

Not all games are impacted by lag in the same way. Older 'trad' MMOs like WoW aren't as rate intensive as ESO. I can feel one dropped packet in ESO, something I would never notice in Everquest. It is highly impacted by network performance issues. This might be why it feels like a greater issue in ESO than in other games to some players. Also lobby based matchmaker games will naturally be much more resilient.

Personally, I give ZOS a pass on the ddos stuff. There's no reason to think they're not taking it as seriously as possible -- which is clearly in their best interest.
