Upcoming Daily Reward wait for it..... Painting of Spring Sturdy??????

I rarely ever complain about daily rewards buuuuuuut this one has me scratching my head. Why give out a crappy 200 Gold Painting that always disappoints me when i get it opening chests. You can buy it for 200 Gold.... I love the daily rewards and feel they have been getting better and better but sometimes i just have to laugh. Why not give out a really Cool Painting is beyond me...

There was a whole thread on this topic when the daily rewards became known. Most posters agreed that this particular reward is truly baffling.

I hate to admit it, but I kinda agree. ESO already has so much cool art done for the game over the years, feel like it can't possibly be that hard to find a springy art piece lying around that's not an in-game painting and turn it into one. Maybe I'm underestimating the time and effort that would be needed, but...

(At least the butterflies are cool)

Yeah, I agree that this month's rewards are lame, except for the butterflies. I wish they'd check a piece of furniture's source and drop rate before handing it out as a daily reward.

i love the Spring Painting as that Auridon art is one of my favourite loading screens. so I'm happy with it.

plus it's fitting as we get the painting when it's Spring, for the Northern Hemisphere at least.

"Gifts of the Sun Painting, Metal" has sunflowers which would have also been fitting and of course it's rarer than a base game painting as it's from High isle.

I like the frame. I dislike that a extremely common, dirt cheap item was made one of the grand prizes of the month. It is unironically worth less than the repair kits.

Why can't crown soul gems just be regular soul gems. There hasn't been a need for them to be different since all the types of soul gems were merged into one.

the post that started this thread refers to the painting as crappy so it's clearly also disliked for the painting itself.

which is all fine, all i said in my previous comment is that i like it and why i think we got this specific painting as a daily reward.
i wasn't confused about the reasons people dislike it.

They could've at least made it the crown version with wooden frame, or one of the many other crown paintings.

Even if crown soul gems were given the same name and icon as their non-crown counterparts, they would still not be able to stack with non-crown soul gems because they are from different sources and one is bound while the other is not. I find the onomastic and visual distinctions helpful so I know which are bound without having to check the tooltip and so I can see why the two stacks are not combining.

Yeah. A spring esque crown painting would have made more sense. It did not literally need to be named spring.

I like it. It's a classic base game painting that is a nostalgic nod to our early years in ESO. Plus, I love getting furnishings as rewards. Hopefully next month we might get something rarer, but I won't complain about this one.

What does it matter if it's common? IT'S FREE.

All a player has to do to get it is log in for a few seconds! Should we really expect to get a rare painting for basically doing nothing?

It is not clever to give out one of the easiest to get cheapest paintings in the game. I should have added this into my comments. Thye could have slightly altered it, changed the frame to make it a rare or even offered a new Spring Painting. to me personally this is a lack of effort for a daily log in. I love the Spring idea just don't go down the lazy path. Thats all.

I made this post so ZOS can see we actually care about daily rewards and do not take them for granted. Or at least i care.

It's still better than the "featured" poisons that go straight into the trash at the end of the day though

So, what you are saying is we should be thankful for the good and the bad and never have a discussion or voice our opinion about it to our fellow forum's readers or ZOS? If we do not let ZOS know what we like, and dislike how will they ever improve on their daily rewards or receive feedback? I personally believe healthy constructive feedback is good for all...

I don’t have that painting so that would have been perfect. I have terrible luck getting paintings from chests in the newer dlc areas. I end up buying them if I find them cheap in traders.

Those are given away not for players to be happy or appreciative but for them to login, boosting stats for exec board. That's pretty obvious people would want something out of it instead of just eating the carrot from a stick and be grateful for it's existence, it's an exchange in a way. I might not care about it but other people do and there's a reason for it, already free item isn't the most exciting thing to get as a * "reward".

I remember when we got things like crown crates or DLC.

If ZOS keeps giving junk that I'll just bin, they can stop with the login rewards for all I care.

I think people may be overlooking that it's a slightly tweaked reward structure, where they've spread out the "special rewards" over 3 days (the sunflowers, butterflies and the painting), instead of just giving a single special reward on day 21. I much prefer this (and last) month's rewards, to getting one pet on day 21, for example. Of course, getting a bunch of crates is always fun, but they aren't going to do that every month.

It doesn't feel very rewarding if what we're getting isn't all that special. And it doesn't match the quality of this month's previous furnishing rewards, the butterflies and the sunflowers. If we can expect to get 3 very nice butterfly flocks for doing almost nothing, I don't see the issue with having an issue about the common painting.
