There are too many aoe's that just don't hit enough of an area to hit multiple targets. Take jabs for instance, you really only hit 1 thing most of the time. Why not increase it's dmg some and make it single target? OR add more aoe effect and keep it the same damage. It just seems odd that we have some things in game that hit an area, but that area is so small that only 1 or 2 things fit in that. The reason I say this, by the math, they are ineffective cost per dmg output because they are considered aoe's. The arcanist bubble is one that's just not usable because you have to be so close to something for it to actually hit. Winterborn is a 3m radius. LOL

That being said, you'll have to consider sets like Pillar of Nirn, which technically proc an AOE, but it's generally too small to hit more than one or two enemies. This is one of the best sets in the game and increasing the radius to 6m would make it even more valuable than it already is.
Then make it single target. Or make it bigger aoe and reduce the damage. One or the other. If it's not usable as an aoe, why keep it that way? As others have said, if they're small aoe's, if the target moves even a little, it misses entirely.

I do agree that some abilities lack the kind of radius to be effective/are smaller than I would prefer. However, as someone who has played Templar for years now, I don't believe Jabs falls into this category. For a melee ability, Jabs can be downright generous, especially the distance away you can hit enemies. Every source that I can find says that it's a 8m radius (8x6), which is well above the 6m you're asking for.
