What changed in this patch regarding PVP?

    Yesterday run need 2 shot dead.

    Blast bones is NUKING me hard. I am thinking, no I am knowing that not all damage is being reduced by Lamp Knights. The set is being exploited right now.

    I tried it, and did TERRIBLE damage even when paring with crit, damage buffs, crit damage etc.

    Huh. You know what, I wonder if the player damage reduction is reflected onto pet damage (and if blastbones is pet damage). Not that I have the stuff to test it out atm.

    I dunna. Coud be. All I know is that the math has already been done on the set and it mirrors what I have seen in my own tests, but since this patch I am seeing necromancers come out of the woodwork, a LOT less sorcs (shields took a huge nerf) and I am getting literally globabled, I mean LITERALLY dead from 100 + shield to dead without even seeing the player. I have literally gone from running + shield and went directly to the death screen, never even see any form of animation.

    Its was not happening prior to the patch, now it happens in every game, its not normal. I just wish for once that "latancy" worked in my favor. Instead I have to play constant cat and mouse for a win.

    What is that shield nerf you are talking about? Did I miss something?

    I tried two builds. Each a one bar with Oakensoul (I know its frowned upon, and I wish I could do a back bar but my ping is over 200 and its simply not reliable in anyway shape or form in pvp. I live in the EU and play on NA (that is a story for another time).

    6x impen, reinforced HA chest, Rallying Cry, 40 points into health + 1 health enchant (so just over 30k) I am getting killed by some players inside of about 2 seconds flat. Literally stealth stun, I go to break free and I fall dead. This is happening in just about every match.

    Second set was all Magicka (necropotance, crafty alfiq, Domihouse head) I go back and forth between impen and divines/infused, frankly impen is worse as it offers practically nothing anymore for defense.

    Prior to the patch, Hardened Ward worked on either build (was stronger on the all magicka build). I could use the ability, fire off a couple offensive abilities, and refresh the shield.

    NOW, regardless of armor set (stacking magicka or not) I cant even SPAM hardened ward to stay alive, much less use it and weave an offensive in.

    Its become practically useless as all it does not appear to offer any real defense anymore. If it does not last long enough to weave offensive abilities were as it previously did.

    The current hardened ward seems LESS effective than the old conjured ward/regenerative ward.

    I never read the patch notes. I just observed that my "shield bar" does not extend as far to the left and right (indicating how much "shield" you have). This reduction in the shield strength is reflected in how fast the shield is now being used up and in gameplay terms it means I am unable to reliably fit an offensive keypress inbetween shield rebuffs. The shields are simply going down as fast as I put them up, literally....and this is to one player.

    My character shows less shield with the same build.
    My characters shield falls off much faster than before the patch.
    My wife has noticed the same thing, in fact she brought it to my attention without me mentioning it.

    If its a bug, I am not abusing it, why would I abuse a bug that makes my character worse.
    If its the UI, then I would see that reflected in the "lesser shield indicator" still being strong, but this is not the case.


    Sorcs shields were nerfed. Its blatantly obvious in game regardless of what the patch notes say.

    Hardened Ward now has maximum scaling based off of your total HP, as in it can only be as large as 72% of your HP.

    Could you please point me to the place in update 45 patch notes that says that Conjured Ward was nerfed? I cannot find it.

    I never read the patch notes. I just observed that my "shield bar" does not extend as far to the left and right (indicating how much "shield" you have). This reduction in the shield strength is reflected in how fast the shield is now being used up and in gameplay terms it means I am unable to reliably fit an offensive keypress inbetween shield rebuffs. The shields are simply going down as fast as I put them up, literally....and this is to one player.

    So, it's not an official nerf but an observation in PvP that could be due to a whole bunch of reasons such as bug abuses, UI glitches or new more efficient builds being used.

    My character shows less shield with the same build.
    My characters shield falls off much faster than before the patch.
    My wife has noticed the same thing, in fact she brought it to my attention without me mentioning it.

    If its a bug, I am not abusing it, why would I abuse a bug that makes my character worse.
    If its the UI, then I would see that reflected in the "lesser shield indicator" still being strong, but this is not the case.


    Sorcs shields were nerfed. Its blatantly obvious in game regardless of what the patch notes say.

    By "bug abuses" I meant that some other players could be abusing a bug which make your shield fall off faster than before.

    Pen isn't hard to get any more.
    I mean most get 6k to 10k from major and minor breach.
    The set might find a niche following
    With some class's and specific skill and buff set-ups.
    I think the real problem is d syncs seem WAY worse.
    Witch will leave you feeling like your naked because on your screen you go from full to dead in a second
