Ball groups spam of abilities creates extremely high latency in a small area because such spam simply overwhelms server processing queue.
This results in many unfair effects for other players such as:
- GCD about 2-3 seconds
- inability to break-free in 9/10 cases
- stun-locking / multi-stunning thorough break-free-immunity
- unwanted latency teleportation
- large sound delays making ball group attacks muted and therefore stealthy

Cyrodiil is already barely handling large scale battles of non-grouped players while the advertised point of Cyrodiil are large scale battles.
Ball groups come in knowing very well they are solely based on exploitation of poor game server processing.
This massive and highly concentrated spam simply creates forced server processing priority for the ball groups.

Countless people leave PvP all together or take half-year / year pauses from the game just because of this.
Also from the business standpoint, these players obviously don't pay when they are gone.

10 years of the game and here we are with the one and the same problem... abuse of game engine and network structure.

Also this is not a cry post.
I kindly ask devs to seriously address the very well known issue.
Talking about PC EU. Don't know about others.

How about 50-70 ppl zerg spam abilities? Or two zergs clashing in one spot on the map? Are they abusing anything?
Made this screenshot on last event. How do you think this amount of ppl in one place would affect server performance? Also PC EU. hr0xyj4lmlk1.png

    It's a fact;
A full server, there's sometimes some lag before a ball group arrives, but it's okay.
During prime time, when the ball groups are there, the lag intensifies sharply and suddenly on the server, particularly in the immediate vicinity of the ball group.

How can there still be people who think that ballgroups have no impact on lag? This denial is incredible.

Are they not affected by their own lag?

Mostly no, they're not. The server favors the group over the individual. And if a few of the groups skills don't fire off they basically don't notice and aren't effected.
