Is Wood Elf a good Stamina-based race?

WoWpackform
All the other races, like Orc, Nord, and Dark Elf, have good bonuses that help them with DPS and survivability. Is Wood Elf a good race for stamina DPS using any class?

If you're looking to min-max to the absolute then no.

If not, don't worry about it. Your race is probably the least significant choice when it comes to how much it affects your DPS. They have a little bit more recovery and max stam which isn't bad if you need the utility but that probably plays more of a role in PvP or Soloing harder content.

Wood Elf passives are great for PvP, especially for stamina based Nightblade. Lots of nice utility that is hard to fit into builds.

For PvP it is a very underrated stam race, especially for those who are more middle of the road in terms of skill, since it gives a nice mix of everything from speed, to sustain, to a small bit of damage that helps it be very forgiving for stam builds in PvP.

    Yes definitely.

    - Max Stamina 2000.
    - 258 Stamina Recovery.
    - 950 Penetration.
    - 5% movement speed
    - Decreases your fall damage taken by 10%.
    - Increases your Stealth Detection radius by 3 meters.
    - 2310 Poison and Disease Resistance.
the bonuses are useful to me.

But i chose the race because i like bosmer, i already liked them before playing ESO so the passive bonuses are really just bonuses.

They really are versatile. I don't think anyone would be dissapointed choosing Bosmer. Those passives can help a lot in solo arenas too.

For PVP, across the Stam spectrum, I think it is the best for high speed bow, but the worst for low speed tank: you lose Power Budget when you're standing still (useless Speed) and Blocking (useless Stam Regen). Further if you're a DK, the Penetration is only half-useful while Corrosive is up (ditto for Onslaught obv).

But if none of those three things interest you, it is as good as any, it is my 2nd most played race after Orc. It might be true that you can get more Damage out of Khajiit and maybe Orc/Dunmer, I'm not sure, but imo that's not relevant so long as you're going to spec anything into Stam Regen.

Edit: Note there is no Penetration Cap in PVP and there 50% Mitigation is 33500 not 16000 like it is for PVE Bosses. In case somebody says "Khajiit does way more damage" lets clear that up first. I could be undervaluing the Orc/Dunmer Weapon Damage in my comparison

Bosmer have great racials for any activity where the recovery will be useful. Such as stamina based solo builds, or PvP. For group PvE damage dealing, they aren’t the best but not terrible for stamina builds. Obviously they don’t provide much at all for magicka builds although again in PvP boosting up your stamina can be useful even for magicka builds.

I had a Woodelf once. Then I needed him to be a NB healer so...I swapped his race to a Breton.

    I guess he's a trans-racial now!

But if you don't plan to PVP, only 2 of the racials have any value in PVE.
