"Physical" instances of now collectible costumes

Apologies if this is a duplicate, but search didn't find this question as far as I could tell.

Over time I have placed all my costumes/disguises into housing storage so they don't take up bank or inventory space. Now that the vast majority can be donned via collectibles, can these "physical" copies be destroyed or disposed of some other way?

IIRC they can be destroyed. Think I've done it from my character's inventory screen. Been a while though so not 100% sure.

I have never kept a physical copy of any of the disguises but I have all the costumes now.

Keep in mind that there is a difference between the original disguise and the costume version. The original disguise hides vampirism and reverts your hairstyle to the original one you chose when creating your character. It also really works as a disguise in the area you got it in, and disappears in that area if you get caught by a torch bearing sentry. The costume is just a normal costume.
