Alik'r Fishing Issue

Hello and good day.

There is an Angler event in Alik'r however, no matter the time of day IRL, Morning, noon, evening, night, or time of day in game day or night, no matter what fishing spot, no matter using or hot using Hissmir putting in 3 hours a day 3 days a week, and I still cannot get, find, or fish out these last two fish to complete this task.

Is there a secret bait to use? Is it a co op fish only, is it a group co op fish, a dungeon or delve only fish? Random number generators should have given me this a long time ago. I won't go into details, just saying since I'm good with everything else I need, I was now focused on getting that fishing title thing or achievement thing a Muh bob.

    You're using the proper bait. Just gotta be persistant.

    Dunno that Hissimir does anything for you. But you can (and should) use the Artaeum Pickled Fish food and the Angler's Instinct CP perk to increase the chances of catching a rare fish instead of normal fish. Also be sure to have Sharp As Night out as well if you haven't yet earned his trinket.

    Working as intended. I remember one fish in Rawl'kha took me weeks of fishing to catch. That was all before Summerset when fishing became too easy.

    Alik'r Desert took SO LONG for me to complete. And I didn't have all the fancy stuff to boost chances back in the day.

    Oh interesting. Pickled Fish food. I'll Look it up. I'll take a look at that CP perk as well. Since I have a ton of fishing to do. Embarrassingly he said LOL.

    Yeah, I have been adventuring with him and leveled him up real good. He's a stand out character and I kind of like him.

    Yeah, persistence was the way. I nearly stayed away 2 days in a row, (Yeh I'm EMO) But it worked. I got those two fish now.

    I remember it took me forever to get the foul fish. Had to keep circling round the little pools at Tuwhacca's Throne for ages.

    I had MUCH better luck with the couple of pools in Tears of the Dishonored.

    One question: Sharp-as-Night levels up pretty fast if standing aside us while we fish, that I know, but regarding his perk that should help at fishing: it works first after he is maxed (level 20)? Is it correct or did I misunderstood?

    And re thread subject: I had/have two areas with identical troubles. Although I have all CPs as required, aeterum food and Sharp, in Grathwood, I needed aaaaages until I got the lake blue fish. In Southern Elsweyr, I still miss the ocean blue fish and can't get it. It looks like at time, someone somewhere decides that one fish of one area will be a pain... :D

    @DreamyLu Companions passives works no matter their level if they are with you.

    When you unlock their little upgrade thing you will always have their passive, no matter if they are with you or not.

    But I read in many posts on forums (reddit and others), that the perk starts working first after the companion has reached max level 20, max rapport and even some achievements? That's why I'm confused.

    I'm talking about the perk, not the passive skills like the racial one.
