Its a big problem, I can't seem to get people to do anything difficult on this game. I look high and low for players to do dungeon trifectas just recently and this is proving very difficult. I post in discords, go to area's at peak times and ask in zone chats and there's no interest what so ever. Sorry not entirely true I'll get players that are out of their depth so I have to keep returning to the drawing board. This is frustrating, I don't know why I bother paying subscription to endure this but I'm certainly close to cancelling it.

Personally I think your game is dead from a HM/Trifecta/Elitist perspective. All you have left is casual's running around playing with pets and furniture, sad times.

    The game is not dead.

Join a guild who does these things; there are lots of them.
You'll have better luck than trying to get a decent group of randos.

Dungeon Trifectas are done in a comparably short time with a dedicated group, so most players, who are into this, are doing it close to dungeon release. There are new dungeons coming soon so you might get your chance there.

A way to get a group might be via socialising in guilds and raid groups. Thats how I got mine and know others that formed. I guess there is not much open search for members, since only 4 players are needed which a socialising veteran player can find quite easily within their personal network.

So joining a HM trial guild with players who enjoy demanding content might be your best chance to start that endeavour. Speaking for PC/EU here.

This is correct, players don't go back after and it leaves all the stranglers like myself looking for players.

It is definitely lot harder nowadays as new player's interest seems really low and old timers are either out or having their own bubble to participate in. Current lack of big community hubs is defo not helping.

The best you can do is to train honestly, if you yourself have some experience you can start forming a four man and drag them along progressively up to a point you're interested in. If I'd be willing to do so I'd be looking more casual pve guilds on a guild finder and advertise there, I bet there are still people who want to level up their game and get to the meat but lacking proper guidance.

I was just thinking about this. While I'm not currently at the level to do Trifecta runs, my desire is to find a group of people to take a couple nights a week and run dungeons long term. Do dlc dungeons, learn the vet dlc's and then move into the hm stuff. I have 2 guilds that I do trials trainers and vet trials but finding a group of 4 to do dungeons seems a bit harder lol. You're braver than me though, I would never look for random people in zone chat.

I disagree with you though that the game is dead. Though I'm on PS5. Im sorry you feel that way but I think people doing Trifecta runs are probably doing it in guild or friend groups.

I agree that the game is probably not dead as such but Im frustrated with looking endlessly for players. I can invest time in to people but that could literally put weeks onto my overall goal. It's a problem I have no idea how to fix hence why i'm having a moan here.

      • Parse Food for PvE:(DPS) Ghastly Eye Bowl (increases Max Magicka by 4592 and Magicka Recovery by 459 for 2 hours).
      • Gold/Purple Food for Sorc PvP and Meme Tanking:(PvP) Clockwork Citrus Filet (increases Max Health by 3326, Health Recovery by 406 [useful if stage 1 vampire], Max Magicka by 3080, and Magicka Recovery by 338 for 2 hours). Witchmother's Potent Brew (Increase Max Magicka by 2856, Max Health by 3094, and Magicka Recovery by 315 for 2 hours.
      • Trash Potions when feeling cheap: Regular CP150 Essence of Magicka pots that I obtain frequently from playing the game or Crown Tri-Restoration Potion obtained from dailies.
      • Crafted Potions: Essence of Spell Critical (Bugloss, Lady's Smock, and Water Hyacinth). Without magelight this is my primary means of obtaining Major Prophecy on my Sorc, which increases my Spell Critical Rating. This also heals and restores magicka. Essence of Immovability (Columbine, Corn Flower, and Wormwood). I use this in PvP, since this gives me stealth detection, knockback immunity, and restores magicka (better to use it when competent allies are nearby, since it might reveal that you are surrounded by multiple players in stealth and you will not have an emergency pot available after use). Essence of Invisibility with only 2 ingredients (Blue Entoloma, Namira's Rot, Nirnroot, or Spider Egg). I use this in PvE content that requires stealth and if I need more speed I'll use Rapid Maneuver before using the potion. Essence of Invisibility with 3 ingredients (Blessed Thistle, Blue Entoloma, and Namira's Rot). Very useful in PvP alongside the vampire Dark Stalker passive, since you'll be invisible, ignore movement speed penalty while in Crouch, and you'll have a 30% movement speed boost from Major Expedition (I always have this slotted when riding from point A to B in PvP land, since gankers are always lurking). My templar/arcanist will mostly use Essence of Health (Tri-Stat Potion) Ingredients: (Mountain Flower, Columbine, and Bugloss).

Most of the top tier streamers and content creators pointed out in detail why U35 would kill end game content participation. ZOS didn't listen. It turns out they were right. That's why it's been almost 2 years since anyone took the time to put out a tutorial for the new trials and dlc dungeons along with most of the tricks to making a strong build when balance changes are made.

While U36 was definitely a severe blow to the endgame community, there is still loads of tutorials and builds for every aspect of the game out there. There is more about 10 different Bedlam Veil Vet HM guides, just google.

Tbh for Dungeon Trifecta most of the fun is actually figuring it out yourself. We only use guides when severely stuck or a mechnic is really hard to figure out. We usually start a new dungeon with a blind run straight in vet HM having fun dying and trying to figure out whats going on.

I think it is absolutely hilarious that the last thread title I clicked on was on how coordinated play ... in pvp ... was against ZOS TOS...

These forums just crack me up. One area doesn't want people to group up and basically wants to get ballgroups banned, and another segment can't even find anyone to group up and do content with.

Not really surprising tho, as PvP and endgame PvE are totally different genres within ESO, with very different objectives and playstyles.

I'm sure someone could help you in the right direction to find groups. You are going to need to be good enough for that content though and meet a raid leaders expectations, which can often times be high for trifecta level.

Here is an example of a larger discord that is still thriving that does from trainers to trifectas, many of which I wouldn't personally be comfortable joining. (trifectas and some hardmodes, as my playstyle isn't popular with many groups)

I have heard other platforms aren’t doing so hot in the group PvE scene, but here on PC/NA things are going okay. The problem with looking for trifectas in zone chat is that most people in zone chat either don’t do dungeons or they aren’t confident enough to just go do the trifecta. I started a trifecta core group to get all mine, and now I help people with theirs because I feel more confident I won’t mess it up.

That said, dungeons haven’t really bounced back after AWA and U35. Everyone talks about U35 as the massive blow to the PvE community, but dungeons specifically got hit hard twice. AWA killed motivation to do tris multiple times over on different roles (I redo them more to help people, not really because I want to do the trifecta), then U35 was the insult. Plus the decrease in interesting rewards to get people into doing harder versions of dungeons (a title isn’t gonna cut it like it does for trials).

People say to find a guild, but finding a dungeon guild is rather difficult as almost all guilds that claim to do dungeons are trial guilds that have one channel that mentions dungeons. I struggled to find an actual dungeon guild, though I did find one eventually. It is my favorite guild but activity waxes and wanes depending on several factors.

And so, what do I propose? Friendship and/or perseverance. I feel most HM+ dungeon runs are done with friends dragged in from guilds or other games or real life. Or you can try finding a dungeon guild or making one yourself if there isn’t one.

I'd suggest that you keep trying guilds and find some that are active with experienced players willing to help or join vet content. If I'm wanting to do vet dungeons that aren't as popular, I tend to queue on my healer and that helps a lot.

Also, if we're talking DLC dungeons, I always watch the pledges each day. If the dungeon I want is a pledge, I find it really easy to get multiple groups that night. Better still if guild mates are willing to part-fill the group and also get the pledge :)

hardcore dungeon guilds and communities are fairly less common than trial communities, so i won't blame you there. to be fair, most people doing dungeon trifectas are groups of friends who are simply hanging out while progging those achievements.

Hehe thanks for the shout-out. We are a PC/NA guild (and in-game guild membership is required to access a number of discord channels), but there are a few people here and there who are on other platforms. I actually saw a post lf PC EU players recently. No promises, but could be worth a shot. @ThetaSigma if you’re interested I can dm you a link to the discord?
